Time to hold on.  Wisconsin cuts the lead to 14 - 10 at half.  Need a stop coming out of the locker room, and extend the lead.  We are so close, but have had too many broken hearts over the last 6 years.

That non tripping call was inexcusable.

I still feel we are moving in the right direction.   Ruhle needs to work on clock management.   We should have had 2 or 3 shots to the end zone, instead of 1 and a kick.  I think the old saying is play for the win on the road and the tie at home.  We needed to try to win the game in regulation.

We were HOSED!!!

As soon as I saw this, I knew it was about B. Allen tripping Henrich after Henrich trucked him. That's a 15-yard penalty and the entire complexion of the game would have changed in NU's favor. Sheesh, why can't refs ever get those game-changing calls correct at Wisc.???

It was soooooo obvious too.  In the open right in front of two referees.

4 chances to get a bowl game. 0-4.

This may be the fastest I've ever been ready to pull a trigger on a coach in any sport before. This hire was a huge error.

I don't think I've ever seen a worse gameday staff for any team I root for in  any sport.

I'd disagree. Or at least defer. We could have went 3-9 on the season and they would have had no bearing on his coaching status for me. What does matter to me though is how he's going to respond in the offseason about our incredulous offense. If we just scored 15 points each game, we're 8-4.

Let's not undersell his drastic change in defense and special teams that we were raking under the coals for the last 10 seasons. Top 25 in many categories. The one major area there I'd say needs improvement is forcing turnovers.

TLDR;

Offense: Bottom 25 in most categories

Defense: Top 25 in most categories

At least he's fixed one side of the ball. Prior to that we were unreliable on both sides of the ball.

Here's how the first year Power 5 head coaches panned out this season:

Brohm (Louisville, ACC): 10-2

Braun (Northwestern, Big Ten): 7-5

Fickell (Wisconsin, Big Ten): 7-5

Freeze (Auburn, SEC): 6-6

Rhule (Nebraska, Big Ten): 5-7

Walters (Purdue, Big Ten): 4-8

Sanders (Colorado, Pac-12): 4-8

Dillingham (Arizona State, Pac-12): 3-9

Satterfield (Cincinnati, Big 12): 3-9

Taylor (Stanford, Pac-12): 3-9

Alright HHC-- who goes?

Michigan, Washington and who?  Should be FSU and Texas.... but you know as well as I do it's going to be Bama and either FSU or Texas.

Regardless, I really hope they make it a point that you get penalized for soft scheduling.

So, I've seen terrible takes all over Social Media.  The worst is that FSU's QB is injured, so that disqualifies them.  BS.  The team is an undefeated P5 team who not only scheduled 2 SEC schools, but beat them both.

My pick is

1 Washington

2 Michigan

3 Texas

4 FSU

May favorite takes…

FSU didn’t look good (their D looked amazing and we’re 1 week removed from  Alabama needing a miracle to beat a 6-5 team.

SEC > ACC (even though the ACC had more wins over the SEC this year)

That isn’t the same Alabama team that Texas played (like any team this time of year is the SAME as in week 2)

Alabama is so much improved (like most teams aren’t improved this time of year vs week 2)

If you want to know what an SEC echo chamber looks like, look no further than the comments:
