Looking like we'll have a new pitching coach next season - maybe Childress?

This could explain a couple of the pitchers deciding to move on somewhat unexpectedly - will be interesting to see how this affects guys like Olson and Kaminska if they don't get drafted and whether they sign as free agents or come back.
In some of the game threads, I was very frustrated with

the pitching coach. So it won't bother me if Mr. Christie leaves.

I like Jeff and have known him since his youth baseball days.  But sorta saw this coming.
Where is the news? I have work on siding all day. What's going on?

Yeah, if you have success in the B1G, you're looking for the big job promotion - Smith to Arizona St, Wasikowski to Oregon, Bakich to Clemson, etc. Sometimes, though, they come back (Smith).

The B1G can throw money at their programs and coaches, especially with the new TV deal coming, but until the league brass actually takes the sport seriously -- and the schools demand that they take it seriously -- it's going to be tough to keep coaches who have success.

Maryland losing Vaughn is a big one. He really had them rolling. Not quite as big as Michigan losing Bakich, but still pretty big.

The 1991 Wisconsin baseball program refused to travel to away conference games at UCLA and USC. They were ahead of their time.
