Great news.   Hope he agrees to take the job permanently.   Very smart, excellent businessman, very experienced in fundraising, plus he understands Nebraska and what it takes to be successful here.

He is not a candidate but if offered, would he turn it down.  There are likely a lot of great candidates out there, but most, or at least many, thought both Eichorst and SP were excellent hires.  Sometimes the qualities that best serve the situation is overlooked.  Just saying...

I don't really remember many thinking Eichorst was a particularly quality hire.

You could do a lot worse than hiring Rimington as full-time AD, but all signs point to him not wanting the job. I see this as a favor to TO and Nebraska Athletics. He loves NYC, his family now lives in NYC, he loves to travel and he went on record today saying he wants to work at the foundation until he is 60 (I'm sure him and Boomer are very close and that has been discussed). This is going to be a full in-depth search that will probably stretch over the next month.
