Great game !!!!...all you doubters thought they'd never do it :D;)

The stat sheet says it all. 49% shooting.....18 assists...very good over all rebounding by several players. And above all multiple scorers over 10 points.  Havers had one of her best games...she was pumped up, and did all she could to win it.

Hard to pick out any one player this week, so many did so well....but this week Hannah gets the awesome award !!....showed signs of the old Rachel T.  Scoring around the key, and from the 3.  getting rebounds.. Led the team to victory !!

It is very encouraging that our young players are developing well this year.  Put them with our 3 experienced redshirts and incoming 5 star recruit and things do look brighter going forward.  A year of coaching in the Big Ten will also benefit our staff.

Went to the game today.  Amazing how good the crowd was.  Glad the players are still playing hard; our fans deserve that.  1-12 and 5-20 and we have a great crowd.  Very special.

Nice to win with Shepherd not having a great game.  Whitish and Eliely had very solid games as others have noticed, but also Havers.   Very solid game by Allie.

Nicea can can be a special player.  She works on her shot in the off season and Katie bar the door.  Made an athletic play in the 4th quarter that should be in a highlight reel.

Finally, nice press break!  ?

A most enjoyable game.  Take away the first 6 minutes of the third quarter and it's as good as we could possibly play.  The game ball is tough to call. Hannah played with great toughness and was the making the had to have them shots down the stretch. 18.6.4.  Nicea did great job on Tyra. 13.1.6.  I give it Nicea cause the turbo stuff of Tyra Bus was my favorite play of the game.

I heard at the game today that Kayla Mershon committed to the Huskers today. Anyone else hear this?

I heard the same thing but both people who told me are can be unreliable at times. Kayla attended her high school sweetheart dance last night then hopped on a plane and made it here today. What a big time atmosphere for any recruit that would have attended this afternoon. It would be hard to get what you witnessed today in PBA out of your mind.

I did see someone with Burns, Washington, and the two red shirts walking around PBA before the game. I don't know if that was her or not, but it could have been.

If I remember correctly she visited during the football season and her dad was donning the GBR colors.  Hopefully that's a good indicator.

Can I get four hip-hip-hurray's for this team? Great 40 minute effort from this bunch this afternoon!!

Absolutely was very encouraged by what I witnessed from our two starting freshmen! Especially Hannah!

The three point defense the Huskers displayed today was the best performance we've had all season although there were some lapses at times!

Really liked how they were fighting through screens especially Nicea's performance in that department.

Both Hannah and Nicea"s stat lines are the best by two freshmen in the same game that I can remember in quite a few years!

This was Allie's best game of the season!

 Best crowd of the year!

This win gives me a lot more faith in the outcome of the Michigan St game next Sunday.

The last 2 possessions just happened to be two of our best plays of the year. First for the coaches to have Jessica Shepard trigger the ball inbounds was a stroke of genius on their part, realizing her free throw shooting woes and that's who Indiana was hoping would get the ball.. To break their press and find a wide open Allie was just heaven to my eyes! Still can't believe Indiana didn't foul that last possession.

I walked out of PBA right next to Tyra Buss's mom and grandma and knew I had to strike up some sort of conversation before we went into the parking garage. Her mom would have nothing to do with me, but grandma did, reluctantly though. She told me that they had driven 9 hours and thought for sure it would be a happy ride back. She said they got in Saturday morning and couldn't believe the great weather we had here this weekend. Said they were very impressed with the Haymarket area.

She then mentioned Indy more less blew there wad against Michigan when they won by 20 last Thursday and didn't have enough in the tank to face the Huskers. I then reminded her over-confidence can be a detriment and that the Huskers also played Thursday and they were just as tired. She then said again that she was dreading the 9 hour drive back tonight, so I told her to have a safe trip. She disappeared in the garage and that was the last of her.

Bugeaters1 asked if the body language looked better on sunday vs the hoosiers. i just thought i would post my answer under the Indiana thread: i thought it has looked better the past two games (osu, indiana). i really thought it started to look much better in the second half of the osu game and appeared to carry over to the indiana game. hopefully, it will continue. it is really going to be tough at michigan----------especially with michigan losing their past two contests. msu really took it to them-----on michigans court. watched parts of that game and michigan didn't seem to play all that bad (though, didn't get to see too much of second half)-------msu was just better sunday. flaherty did seem to struggle though.

Sorry about that, I thought I was in the Indiana game thread.

Esther must not be at 100%, only playing 1 minute.

i think it may have been the osu game, when coach williams had to take whitish out for a bit. matt coatney stated coach williams had no intentions of playing esther unless she absolutely had to. i think whitish took a hit to the head and came out for a bit. anyway, evidently the foot isn't that great? what is the deal with washington? shoulder or foot?

I think I heard it is a lower leg injury. It looked like she was moving around a lot better yesterday than a week ago. she sits right in front of me, she wasn't rubbing her leg like she was the week before and also when the game ended she ran onto the floor but with a bit of a gimp.
