Isn't it interesting how nobody is talking about "next year?"   No projecting future lineups. No "if we pick up another ______ in the offseason" or "If so and so develops, we'll be pretty good" threads.  It's all about the here and now.   That's unusual for this time of year. Nice change of scenery, if you will.

Actually, Norm, on some other threads, there was all kinds of talk about next year.  So much that I thought it was strange and almost posted something.   With most of the league season still to be played, we were discussing next year's starting  lineup.  In early January.

Norm, I think it's a given that if they all stay together this squad is going to be pretty damn salty next year considering what we have coming back and what's going to be added...

Having that said, I think that we all see some flashes of brilliance from the team *this* year and still hold out hope for something special to happen for these guys, so the "just wait till next year" kinda talk is on hold for now.  I feel like the "this year" talk is primarily a testament to Tai's hard work and dedication to the program.  He deserves and demands that respect.  So, while I am secretly giddy about the prospect of next year, I'm going to keep that talk to a minimum myself...if for no other reason than to honor Tai.  Like I said it's well deserved and would be a disservice to him (and really, all the guys) to do otherwise.

Or at least that's my take on it.  They've earned the "this year" talk if you ask me.
