  1. I saw it! Very nice!
  2. I think the history of let downs is gone. Not saying we won't lose one this week, Penn State and Purdue are certainly capable. But the way Miles talks about only knowing the last year and a half of Husker basketball, even after a win at Michigan State, it's clear to me he isn't letting this team be held back by the history of Husker basketball before them. If we lose one of the games this week, it won't be because the guys on the team think Nebraska is destined to be a below average team.
  3. I posted a thread over there about how I thought this was drivel. Didn't want to post it here and link to it though since he gets paid by hits. The fact that Huskermax put that on the front page was puzzling to me as they rarely link anything about the football program that has a tone of negativity to it, then they let one of their own writers put this there about the basketball program.
  4. Switch Self and Boeheim and you'd have my lists.
  5. I imagine a lot of things. Never this though, until now.
  6. Bo? Is that you?
  7. It came across as more than an inference by Benning if what he said Biggs told him was accurate I can barely connect all these dots, but let me try. Biggs told Benning something. If what Benning was told by Biggs was accurate, it led to Benning making an inference. To you, this inference by Benning came across as more than an inference? Well shit, I hate this Eichorst guy now too.
  8. If we finish 8-8 in conference next year, what will happens to the other two games?
  9. For all the Creighton fans that think UNL and the Nebraska university system drags down the education in the state, I can say for certain, UNL's law school tops Creighton's, UNMC is more selective than Creighton and often students who don't get into UNMC end up at Creighton in the next term, and Creighton's only has 4 Ph.D. programs. I would bet within 5 years their med school is completely run by Alegent Health (the process has already begun) with no ties to the university and they'll lose the best thing they have going for them.
  10. 1 M 1 S
  11. I believe that Rosenthal tweeted an official estimate of 7,500. Official estimate. Now that's funny.
  12. The old Pippen's with "AIR" just huge on the outside.
  13. If this is the case or something similar, they should make the "N" on the side bigger just because.
  14. Can I wait to see the full schedule before trying to guess how many wins will mean what?
  15. Don't forget this guy who was born in Nebraska. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grover_Cleveland_Alexander
  16. Is he talking about verbal commitments? I wonder what was on his mind when he wrote this article?
  17. I just checked rivals top 100 for 2013, and the top 26 were 5 stars, top 27 were on 247. So he's basically saying Tai would be a 5 star or almost a 5 star. Awesome!
  18. In response to #2, it's a national team, not a professional team. And my opinion on number 3 is that it is good for the program to have players playing as much as they can, especially if it's against good competition. Miles must think so too, otherwise I don't think you'd see Biggs playing in that Omaha summer league and Shavon playing on this team.
  19. Never a good idea. If enough people end up with his point of view, the oppressors and the oppressed will just flip roles and we'll start all over again. It's a vicious cycle.
  20. Same high school as this guy, who also had Division I basketball scholarship offers if I remember correctly.
  21. Those teams, along with Nebraska, haven't filled their need for big men this late in the game. Like us, they are going after the best available big men left.
  22. I can't find anything that says he made a decision.
  23. So, Pelini's first four recruiting classes don't count? What are you talking about? This year's draft class wasn't Pelini's "first four classes"... This isn't Kentucky bball where the players are recruited to only stay one season in college... He said this class didn't count because it was in shambles when Pelini got here and that having only two players drafted this year isn't an indication of the players being brought in now. But what about the average players in the four classes between the first one and the players now? He conveniently ignored them. I understood Vinny's post to mean that since Pelini coached LSU in the national championship game, which was in January, that gave him very little time to build relationships with quality recruits before signing day. I'm pretty sure most people would agree that the #1 part of recruiting is building relationships (if you are not a basketball blue blood like Kansas, Duke, North Carolina, Kentucky, etc...) and Pelini had little time to do that. I understood Vinny's post to mean that we should not judge Pelini's recruiting by this first class. By the way, Pelini's first four recruiting classes include a bunch of guys that have a good shot to get drafted by the time they are done at Nebraska: Taylor Martinez (maybe not at QB, but he is a dynamic enough player that he will probably get a shot at some position) Kenny Bell Jason Ankrah Quincy Enunwa Ciante Evans Harvey Jackson Charles Jackson Corey Cooper Stanley Jean-Baptiste Mohammed Seisay Jonathan Rose David Santos Jammal Turner Ameer Abdullah A handful of OL will likely get a look as well... In addition to players in Pelini's first four recruiting classes that have already been drafted: Brandon Kinnie Dejon Gomes Lavonte David Rex Burkhead Damion Stafford What he said. Thanks Baller.
  24. I watched the draft. I recalled that this year would be the year that Pelini's first recruiting class would be up for the draft. You know, the class he had to scrape together when he took over the program? Hell, Burkhead wasn't actually part of that class, he came the next year, but never redshirted. So yes, I watched the draft and I kept in mind why we had a poor showing, and that our poor showing in no way reflected the quality of recruits currently coming in to our football program. That will be reflected in the draft four to five years from now. Since, you know, recruits don't get drafted two months after signing their letters of intent.
