I just don't see the connection, 49r.

I could see Watson starting at the point and Evelyn at the 2 spot. Evelyn shot over 50% from behind the three point line his senior year in high school. I know it was a short year, but he still put that number up. With Benny back in his 'energizer' role off the bench and Tai with his improved defense, they'll provide nice depth, and different skill sets at our guard spots.

An article about the transfer of Michigan players outside of the state to prep schools. Bakari has a legit shot for playing time here as the roster is in flux. However, with Parker established and Watson billed as the real deal it's very possible he doesn't crack the rotation ala Tarin Smith a lot of the year and he gets some chirps in his ear about leaving. You can spin this into a positive or a negative several different ways IMO. If he can shoot the three with any sort of consistency he might have a better chance at playing time in the 2 spot.

Exactly my thoughts on the offense at this point. Walt may not be great inside, and Moses's offense may not be his strength, but playing inside to outside a bit will at least keep the D honest and maybe gives us better looks on all those threes. At the least we could get guys trying to runout and cover them a bit more so a shot fake will get guys like Rivers and Shields into mid range shots where they really excel.

Is our defensive identity dictating our offense? With the exception of Moses, we have a roster built to run. Are we not running more because we believe that at the end of the day our best option is to run our set offense or because we don't want to potentially hurt our defense? Half of our set offense at this point is Petteway shooting from where ever he can get to that possession. Love the guy, but damn do we need to figure something else out. If Shields and Rivers weren't so efficient with their offensive games as this point we might be under .500. Miles tweets about defense seemingly every halftime, but we look so lost on offense. Holding Creighton to 65 is good, but not great. Scoring 55 is bad, and to me our defense isn't our problem at this point.

Turnovers concerning me right now. Those numbers come down and we hold onto a few more possessions a game could be huge. As has been stated our defense will keep us in games, but we look a little lost at times on offense still which leads to some of those turnovers. Also would like Terran to be a LITTLE more selective with his shots.

Has he been sick or something? They showed him up close at the end of the URI game and his eyes looked incredibly puffy. He looked like he was double his age in the face. Maybe it was just the feed though! No idea, just thought his improvement would be key to overall team improvement. He's shooting terribly from everywhere on the court it seems, 0-5 from the line tonight!
