1. I don't know what to take from this game. Lack of size and no post game seems to be a glaring weakness. I thought we would defend on the perimeter better, maybe Chad Frazier is that good, 66 points in two games is impressive. No time to panic but Georgia and/or Temple will not be a cure for the problems. This tournament has probably tempered some optimism.
2. Listened to the game, did not view so I am wondering how Ted Valentine is still a college official. Seems like he wants to be the show instead of the players.
3. Has anyone told Jeff G. to talk a little less during the broadcast of the game I try to keep up with Matt's play by play but it's difficult to follow since Jeff is always offering analysis. He might interrupt more than Matt Davison. Please Jeff, a little less talk and let Matt C. call the game. Nice win tonight with Bama clearly trying to keep Hooper from beating them. Since 00 is gone someone has to take up that scoring slack and tonight Cady and Theriot came through.
4. Nice win for the Huskers! I don't think Petteway will be that effective on his outside shooting every game but maybe he has improved after a year off from Tech. Too soon to tell about the team but a nice beginning. Lighten up on the Peltz criticism. He didn't do anything to hurt the team and he consistently does the dirty work, setting screens, denying cutters, picking up rebounds that often go unappreciated but are necessary for a winning team. I'm sure with Biggs and Gallegos coming back he will spend considerable time on the pines. I for one, like what he does for the team.
5. Will there be any single game tickets available this year? I hope to catch a game in PBA over the Christmas Holiday period.
6. Mike Peltz. I thought he did some good things for the team early last season. Probably won't see much time but having better people to practice against will make this team better prepared.
7. How can Chuck Taylor's be banned??? That is sacreligous!!!
8. Chuck Taylor Converse All Stars and my senior year we switched to (and nobody on this board has probably heard of these!) Bata Bullets! Still will wear Chuck Taylors for casual wear.
9. Connie seems to have a good idea of what type of players she wants in her system. This looks to be a good group coming in to help keep the program at a high level.
10. I just hope he turns out to be a good, high quality, high character player for NU.
11. 1. I love NU athletics. I try to follow all of them as closely as I can from Central Texas. I voted FB and BB equal. I've been able to celebrate 5 national championships in FB and hope to see NU win one (1) NCAA game before my time expires on this planet. 2. I voted for Miles because of the enthusiasm and energy he seems to have generated in the program, plus I thought he did a hell of a job with last year's team. Football is going to be competitive but the days of challenging annually for conference (1999) and National Championships are not coming back to Lincoln. It's going to be tough to keep pace with Ohio State and Michigan. I have mixed feelings about Pellini and some of his staff but after the debacle with his predecessor (it's only one game, one season Callahan), I can live with it.
12. She can learn a great deal from that coaching staff. Coach Coale knows what she is doing and the Marist coach is very good.
13. I still remember in disbelief, Woody Mayfield waving off a last second shot by KU in Allen Field House and Tom Apke and the Colorado Buffs sprinting to the locker room after the upset. Coach Owens was not a happy man! This post is clearly showing my age!
14. It takes money to attract top quality assistants. One has to be optimistic about the future of the program. I'm not asking for much, but I would like to see NU win an NCAA game while I'm still on the earth...I'm not getting any younger!
15. Louisville and Indiana are adidas...I think they do OK in basketball.
16. IF we leave adidas then please avoid Nike...I'd even go Under Armour over Nike.
17. TV Timeouts or media timeouts are killing the game for a spectator. I wish Coaches would realize when they are beat and call off all of the fouling to stop the clock at the end of the game. The clock does not need to stop in the last minute of play. Games are too long, not necessarily too slow. Maybe a 30 second clock but not 24. But remember, the women don't have a time line at midcourt.
18. I think a Top Ten rating is a little optimistic. Lindsey Moore did a lot for the team, like playing 40 minutes a game but Theriot did get plenty of experience playing the point this season. Someone has to step up the scoring for Moore's absence and just her overall court presence. NU should contend for the B1G championship next season.
19. Though I don't watch the WNBA, my best wishes to Lindsey Moore. She was great for NU! She is a future coach...if that's what she wants to do.
20. Might as well get ready to hand the title to UConn next year. There is too much of a talent difference between the top 4/5 schools and the rest of the teams.
21. Women ought to ask Gary Blair to bring up the Aggies to Lincoln.

22. I like Iowa State....maybe bring up UNLV from the Mountain West...or Mizzou.
23. Never mind! You can see how well I paid attention to the previous post!!!
24. In fairness to Coach G, at Duke she was recruiting against a limited group of schools for girls that had the academic acumen to go to elite schools. It is true that she failed to cultivate rapport with Texas H.S. coaches and didn't keep someone on board from the Jody Conradt era. She is a Michigan native an might do well at OSU. The culture in Austin is different and not everyone is up to handle it.
