I loved our intensity and aggressive play on offense by attacking Kalkbrenner. Essegian was a nice spark off the bench… but everybody contributed to the victory. Not to but a damper on the big win but this Creighton team is not on the level of last year’s squad. Neal, played good defense on Williams but they miss Alexander and Schierman.

Maybe she wasn’t defending. We obviously didn’t handle Jensen.

My thoughts exactly!

We needed a third player to step up to help Markowski and Prince. Rimdal didn’t get many minutes.

Getting out scored by 24 points from the three point line tells the story.

I only listened but Creighton must have had some good looks to hit all those threes. I guess you have to credit them for making shots. Clearly Jensen killed us today. That’s a veteran ball club so I hope we learn from it. We needed to play a tough team. Time to move ahead.

Jamarcus could help us this year but wouldn’t start.

I loved the Way Natalie Potts #22 played for Nebraska. Clearly this season she demonstrated being more assertive, more confidence and more leadership. IMO she was our best player. Let’s all hope for a complete recovery so this young woman can lead our future squads.

I live out state and have never hated Creighton. I enjoyed their success from the time of Red McManus and Paul Silas through Eddy Sutton , Tom Apke, Tony Barone, Dana Altman to the present. But I always am a Husker first. We need a win Friday afternoon and evening. To me, anything that brings attention to basketball in Nebraska is a good thing. I clearly understand the dismay of those of you who deal with Jayskers daily.

I think Alexis M. could learn some post moves from Bozan who is really going to need to come through.

I would move her into the starting lineup.

Better effort in 2nd half. Rimdal addition is huge with Weidner out. I would pair Petrie with Markowski in the starting lineup. Coley and Moriarity have opportunities to step up and be more than role players. Everyone has to step up to reduce the impact of losing Potts. Too much sloppy play for my taste. Bench played better than the starters.

She’s been or best player tonight.

36-16 at half but losing Potts is devastating. Hake has been the best player on the floor. The sloppy turnovers are inexcusable. Seems like some of the girls are playing without respect for the opponent. Playing like this and without Potts the Bluejays will blow us out.

Too many sloppy turnovers in first quarter. Hake gave the spark that was needed. North Alabama plays better defense than our previous opponents. Whitaker is a veteran coach having played at Texas Tech for Marsha Sharp and coached there.

Turnovers to assists was awful. But, we are still learning how to be a team. Mesh’s size will be nice to defend Kalkbrenner.

We lost to a solid team. We should benefit from this when we go to Omaha. It’s not like we lost to a cellar dweller.

With Berke at the 5 we haven’t been able to secure the defensive rebound.

That Lewis 3 might be the dagger. We are having such a time scoring and we are not getting to the FT line.

Probably need to get Williams into the game. Down 4 and can’t get down much more.

Williams having to set is bad. We lost our offensive movement and as a result trail.

I did not anticipate this much scoring. The Huskers are battling. Gaels are bricking free throws which has helped. We have to tighten up on their shooters. I am impressed with that Lewis kid for the Gaels.

Our women did last night!

Randy Bennett proves year in and out that he can coach. St Mary’s is not going to beat themselves and are playing exceptional on defense. We need more from Gary and Williams. Morgan played hard but we really miss the passing ability of Mast.
