  1. Might be some solid depth at the guard position.
  2. It will be an interesting season. In my opinion the program has taken a step back and may need a couple of years to recover. Maybe it was necessary. I wish nothing but the best for the Huskers.
  3. Great coach and leader. I wonder if she would be too demanding and tough for today's players.
  4. I agree that we will have to play with the players that are currently on the team but we seem to be short handed again.
  5. Stick with adidas.
  6. Without Schreiber, NU doesn't get in. Program has a long ways to go to compete at a level to challenge for CWS. The B1G is improving but lacks the pitching prowess of the other major conferences and is not as deep in quality hitting throughout the entire lineup. Schreiber's absence left a gaping hole in the Husker offense.
  7. Good investment for 1-2 years? The title made me spend the last hour listening to one of my favorite albums! An all time album for sure!
  8. I am hoping that Tai Webster takes another large step forward his senior year. I believe he is the key to how well the upcoming season develops. He is a good defender but can he knock down the open shot and provide stability and leadership? Watson, White, Jacobson and McVeigh might fill the other positions. I don't have enough knowledge of the newcomers, including Gill, to insert any into the starting lineup.
  9. I have no idea what the upcoming season will provide for Nebraska Women's BB. I was a major supporter off Coach Yori and admired her for being demanding and uncompromising. She had earned her salary and comparison's to John Cook's salary are apples to oranges. The program needs to move forward. Recruiting the 2017 class is going to be interesting and a key to how competitive we can remain in the top half of the B1G. Some of the pieces are in place for a good squad, point guard does not appear to be one of our stronger positions. It goes without saying that our 3-point shooting is going to suffer. Coach Williams and her staff have a big job ahead. If the team struggles, many fans may not be very patient or understanding. I'd say it is somewhat similar to what Mike Riley faces as he tries to build his program.
  10. Natalie will always be one of my all time Huskers! Lover her passion and fire for the game.
  11. Norm, I could not agree more. I am going to miss watching that young lady play for the Huskers! I hope to get to watch her play as much as possible for her new team.
  12. I just returned from a 3 week out of country trip and have not kept up to date on happenings with NU. It appears that Natalie will transfer. She has been a tremendous representative for the University of Nebraska and I want to wish her well wherever she plays and plan on following her progress. Natalie will be a major loss to this program and though I still hold out some minor hope that she will return, I think the bridges have been burned.
  13. Sigh!
  14. I wasn't thinking, as usual, about the transfer rules. I wonder if K-State is on her list.
  15. You can never have too many good players, however, I think because Shepard is here, she will look elsewhere.
  16. In my opinion, Natalie should be Coach Williams top target.
  17. Allie Havers, the most veteran player on the team, has been strangely silent on the entire situation. I am probably rehashing old issues. Time to move forward. I certainly hope Coach Williams can convince Natalie Romeo to stay with the Huskers.
  18. Wow! How wrong was I on these thoughts?
  19. This isn't good. The players sniping at one another on social media. Might make it difficult for Natalie to try to stay.
  20. Coach Williams impressed me at today's introductory press conference.
  21. This appears to be a good selection. It is extremely important that ALL Husker fans get behind Coach Williams and that everything points forward. This has been a difficult time period for the program to endure. That being said, it is time to look ahead and try to keep players that want to be "Huskers" in the program.
  22. Should be interesting with Cayton. You'd think administration would informed her a new coach was being announced today & asked her to speak to her first before releasing her from her LOI. Has she been officially released?
  23. Losing Romeo and Cincore can be devastating to this program. A major rebuilding effort will be in order. Have there been many more popular players with the fans than Romeo? If the dismissal of Coach Yori is for "cause" then why the $1,000,000 buyout? The new coach has a tough, tough task and the Husker faithful need to get behind the program to overcome this very, very large stumbling block.
  24. Powers will be missed by the Spartans. They have a good class coming in to play and Merchant does a good job there.
