  1. There are numerous reasons why we lost that game, there are numerous reasons Ohio State won...doesn't matter, it was painful. I am still not over it.
  2. Devastating.
  3. I was devastated by the loss last night. Hard to absorb, even this morning.
  4. Preparing to head to the Vault. We will loud and proud tonight. Come on men, let's get it done!
  5. I'm not sure I like us without Ed either. Time to prove we can win without him...
  6. Yup...Norm loved Iba/Cip and despised Danny. Norm would jab at Nee at any opportunity. Norm also hated that students brought cap guns to the game in honor of the Steve Stipanovich gun incident. Norm hated our band, hated our benches, hated our scoring table and pretty much hated everything else about Nebraska By the way Stepo grew up to be a Dad of a number of athletic children... http://www.slubillikens.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=27200&ATCLID=209370838
  7. Hmm, I have no problem with either the band or the director. We are who we are, I am betting that tonight will be a pretty good crowd.
  8. Looks like time is needed...Hope we get him back this season.
  9. Sad news for Creighton. He certainly appeared to be the team leader. That kind of a blow is hard to overcome. I hope that he has a seamless recovery! http://www.omaha.com/creighton/mens-basketball/creighton-guard-maurice-watson-out-for-season-with-torn-acl/article_2413f9e8-dcd5-11e6-8c03-33940809bcc4.html#utm_source=omaha.com&utm_campaign=%2Fnewsletter%2Fbreakingheadlines%2F&utm_medium=email&utm_content=read more
  10. Easy to forget, but Jeriah played primarily in the post/paint last year (in HS). Not the easiest transition moving from HS to high Division I basketball. Compound that by moving from the paint to the perimeter. Jeriah will learn and adapt, but some struggle more than others. I am simply amazed by his shot given his HS role!
  11. Agree. He played the last game like his feet or legs were hurting. No real hops at all.
  12. ...on any given night! If our game is just a little off, we can lose to anyone at any time. But that goes for each and every Big Ten team this year. Parity is the word of the year.
  13. First off, I agree that Crean is a jacka**. That said, I respect the fact that he laced into the players involved, and I am sure Rutgers appreciates the fact that Crean was not happy. The players involved need to get educated about respect and sportsmanship, and I am sure Crean will provide that education.
  14. Analyzing coaching moves in hindsight is always more accurate than in the moment analysis. I am not sure what Jeriah did (other than foul the kid on a 3 point shot, turning it into a 4 point play) that would have cost him all but 7 minutes of time. I will assume that the coaches (not just Miles) had their reasons.
  15. I am not sure anything can be added to your commentary. I have historically said that as long as there is consistency with the calls, I can survive. There were calls made against us and not against Michigan, that is what is perplexing. One example was when Jack apparently grabbed #22 when he was crossing the lane. I am not saying it wasn't a foul, but it needs to then be called both ways; and it wasn't. It is hard for me to understand or explain how we can continue to go to the rim, we can be grabbed, pushed, or bumped and nothing is called? Glynn doesn't go to the line once. Really? Tia goes to the line twice, maybe three times. Really? I also remember some call being made that was perhaps a 50/50 call. The ref then immediately called a touch foul on us and gave possession back to Michigan. Again, I am looking for consistency in calls, and that did not happen tonight. And what is even more frustrating, it never, ever feels like we are on the good side of this kind of disparity.
  16. By the way, kudos to Nick who has seen the light of day until today, and played a few good minutes. Kudos to Glynn, he was somewhat absent in the first half, but had a good second half. Kudos to Tai, he likely tried to do too much today, but we needed the senior and he stepped up.
  17. This was perhaps our worst defensive performance of the year. Mystifying to me. Yes, Ed was gone, but man, we have to adjust during the game and didn't do it. Shameful because that was a winnable game. We need Ed back sooner rather than later.
  18. We are playing short of players and Horne doesn't see the floor in the second half???
  19. When you score 85 points, you should not lose.
  20. Wagner is succhhh a baby. Man.
  21. This was a disaster game. We just were never on top of our game. We were playing just good enough to stay close. Three pointers and free throw differential was SIGNIFICANT. Sad. Sad. Sad.
  22. We have never had the lead....been a frustrating game.
