  1. Hate to see this. A young man taken way, way too soon. Prayers to the family. This is also a hard hit to the Royals team.
  2. Hard to support any one player as "the most important." But we have found that we have not won without Ed. I would guess however, that we would also have the same issue without Glynn, Tai and possibly MJ. Hard to win when you have multiple injuries and/or transfers sitting out as well. Just to make one additional mention, and I hate to write this, but I am disappointed with the growth of our freshmen this year. At this point of the season I thought they would be much further along. The inconsistency and rookie mistakes are taking a toll. If they step up, the injury to Ed would have less of an effect.
  3. Here is one very basic observation, you cannot miss 9 bunnies and win; and if anything, I am light with the number of missed bunnies.
  4. I am trying to figure out how we lost that game against that team. This sucks.
  5. Playing just good enough to lose close. Siggghhhh.
  6. Oh good lord!!!!!!!!! Two straight turnovers.
  7. Jack F****** McVeigh!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Gotta make free throws down the stretch.
  9. We need to WIN this game. Come on men, get this done!
  10. He is not as quick as Reeves
  11. Cant seem to get over the hump. We need to continue the run with the ball in Tai and Glynn's hands.
  12. I will be surprised if we see Isaiah in the second half.
  13. First half sucked. Good start to second half.
  14. For me it is difficult to pinpoint any one loss. Every loss, and especially any home loss is heartbreaking. Sure, there are some that you expect to lose. When you win those, perhaps they are the most exciting. But any home loss is tragic and difficult to live with. Heck, when we lost to Gardner-Webb I was shocked, pissed, confused and thought any chance for the NCAA tournament was lost. So heck...
  15. We have talked about this numerous times now. Perhaps this is something that some members of the student section take charge of, with the caveat that they do it right, and they do it with utmost respect. If the fans initiate it, how can the NCAA do or say anything.
  16. I would be surprised, but obviously I am not. Anytime Iowa loses, he loses "it"
  17. This is a very, very difficult subject for me, and I am sure for many others. As a long time Husker basketball fan, I have more often than I can count, been right about on top of the roller coaster ride, only to plummet back towards the bottom. Sometimes it is talent, sometimes it is bad luck, sometimes it is a call or two, sometimes it is a missed shot or opportunity, sometimes it is this, sometimes it is that...but is always something. We have the talent now, but it is a couple injuries and three of four really bad plays per game, especially these last three games. I am still baffled by last night. The way we played the first half, I thought we could basically name the final score. Obviously the team thought the same way because a different team showed up in the second half. Bottom line, I am frustrated, again. But brighter days are ahead, I am sure of it.
  18. Hindsight remains 20/20. It still sucks that we lost.
