It will be interesting to see if he can consistently hit his shot at the level we play in. My concern stems from the fact that the coaches and player thought a year off, building strength and playing against our players, was going to be of great benefit for him. What has changed...other than the current situation. I will maintain low expectations and will hopefully be happily amazed.

Money was likely right. I mean don't we still have to pay non conference home opponents?

Keeping Up with Old Friends (The Transferred Thread)

Jordy as some good qulities...he really does. I will dwell on just one major issue; he brings the ball down below his waist EVERY time. For that I place some blame on the coaches...for goodness sake, you have a freshman at Creighton that already has that figured out...okay now that is off my chest...breathe. -

Lack of size in the middle...falling to sleep on defense...missed free throws...turnovers...some ill-advised three pointers...Creighton's talent and depth...otherwise we had a chance. -
...are good.

I believe Thor will break out. Heck, perhaps he is not used to wide open looks?? By the way, when was the three point line moved back? -

Huskers win 74-68 w/4 in double figures. -
Man...we still have a long way to go. But at least I can see progress.

Level of talent in Nebraska is escalating. We are not just a football state by any stretch of the imagination. Name the sport and we have kids on the top or near the top of recruiting boards...basketball, football, soccer, baseball, golf, softball, volleyball, et al.

We are getting some good ones! -
Sad. Time for a lesson! I do admire the fact that his team has now been removed from the playoffs.

MEH. It was a win...and it likely would not have been last year. Players seemed to realize they needed to feed the beast in the second half, and did so. If the game was a movie title, I would vote for "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. And oh by the way, before others choose to bash Thor, please learn what his role is, what he is being asked to do by the coaches, what his teammates say he brings to the court and then watch the tape and specifically what he is doing within the game. Just saying... And furthermore, this team does not need a volume shooter or a player that demands X number of shots per game. We have players who can score; and so can Thor, he just understands he doesn't need to at this time. -
I find it difficult to criticize Thor. There will be games where we need him to score, and he has proven he can do so. There is a reason he is out there...simply listen to the actual coaches...and his teammates

I would have sworn that I put in a prediction for North Dakota State...shoot.
-
Things you should count on: - everyone will die - 100% consensus is nearly impossible - the weather in Nebraska will be different tomorrow - Creighton will always shoot well versus the Huskers...
-
He's 18 years old. Think a stronger and more motivated version of Mikey Moore. Yvan is going to continue to improve. Shoot, simply look at the beginning of last year to the end of the season. He improved. Same goes during this offseason. Improvement. Not everyone can be like most husker fans...perfect...

History tells us a player like Teddy is exceptional at the line; although he has been less than stellar the first three games. I anticipate that we are going to be a fairly good free throw shooting team as the conference season rolls through. I am going to guess our percentage will be in the 70 to 75% range

Has anyone mentioned that Lat barfed on the sidelines during the game? -
We need to get beyond settling for early 3's. Our 3 point shooting seems to improve when we penetrate and either take it to the hoop or kick out for a three. Also, this team is relatively unselfish which provides clear shots AND we do not have multiple players who can't shoot. Husker fans have appreciated these "glue" players. But we are learning that you can be a glue player and still be a good shooter. By the way kudos to Doc, he has this team playing some d.
