Need the noise meter on the corners of the score boards. The louder we get the line goes up and changes color. Need to understand better what needs to yelled as a group. And Jadler this in your court, need the students to really get into it. I know we have the diehards that know these things we just need to help the newbies get into it. Might take time OR we will have more people who REALLY WANT BE THERE. Not the people who got tickets because they give a lot of money to the football program. Then just show up. You know you don't have to be out of control loud just make some noise. I mean 15,000 people will make some noise if they try hard.

I even do some dumb things once and awhile, but even I know that some high school doesn't want to see my tweeting him to come to the school I like. Might actually turn them away from even coming for a visit.

(Incidentally it is scheduled to be completed late next spring or early summer, depending on the weather, so it will be there the entire time an incoming freshman will be on the team.)On the whole soccer vs. football deal, the key is in the presentation. Instead of selling the "look how many come out for football games", I suspect that McDermott and crew sell the whole "basketball players are the big men on campus at Creighton" angle. Who knows what works best, and it certainly varies kid to kid, but don't underestimate the idea that a basketball recruit may want to go to a place where basketball (as opposed to football) comes first in the sport minds of the kids on campus. Well duh most basketball players will be big men on any campus. Unless you're like Benny, then you would be averaged sized man on campus.

We see enough teams come through the Bob the last few years to know Benny has D1 talent. IF and a big IF he would want to go to another D1 program he would have his red shirt year to still use to sit out his transfer year. I think he will get some minutes this year, either through injury or the fact that he can do something somebody else can't. Will it be every game? Don't know but I thibk he is going to win a game for us this year because of his play.

Peltz is the team bro. He does the dirty work that other with more talent can't do. He takes a charge, fouls somebody hard, plays somebody physical who doesn't like it. Basically he gets under the skin of the other team. And we love it, if he was another school we would want him dead, but, every team needs that guy. I think that Wacker could also be that kid. He is a coaches son and grandson so he knows what needs to be done. I agree that he will/should be option 3or so. But we do need that GUY to take us to the next level.

To play devil's advocate, Creighton could point out the fact that they're coming off something Nebraska's never even seen... That is true but I'm hoping that we soon add men's soccer as the B1G has many good teams.

This is always my view point. We can say we want this kid or that kid, but in the end it is up to the coaches to see if they really fit here or not. I have great faith that they will sign who we really needs to be signed to make us the best team possible. I hope that no one would be shown the door, however as someone who transfered from one school to another I would understand that. And yes I know that sometimes the coach makes that choice for the player easier though certain "actions"

Why not keep in touch with him now. We could wait for somebody like this, the other schools he had on his list can just get somebody as good. We don't have to keep a spot open, but if one was still there when he becomes cleared, he might want to come to a place that stuck with him. Remember that is kind of how. got Lue back in the day. We stayed with him even though he hadn't qualified yet. He stayed with us even after he passed and some of the big boys came with offers.

Just went and looked at the 93 roster. Only guy that fits the bill would maybe Riley Washington. But he was only a soph. And I don't think he would have been out front on the team poster they were sending out to everybody.

That's it. It was a picture of the guys standing in kind of a V and they all had on their uniforms and held their helmets by the facemasks. The way they were holding the face mask was with the blood sign. Not all but some. Abdul Mohammand was one of them that I can remember. The other was the first guy in the V. Don't remember who but he was little and may have wore the #1. Wasn't Phillips, I know that. Was either a wide reciever or DB.

This was back during the glory years back in the early and mid 90's. The poster had a picture of the players and soem of the guys where holding their helmets by the face mask. The way they were holding it was a blood sign. I got all the information when I went to a gang training for school teachers a few years back. Very interesting stuff. I'll see if I can find a picture.

A couple of years back on one of the husker football posters a bunch of the players were throwing very suttle gang signs. UNL didn't know about until later when they were recruiting a kid who was crip said he would/couldn't go because Nebraska was a blood school. Same year that in the media guide a Chicago player was flashing Latin king gang signs in a photo
