Saw that the other day too. Thought it was pretty wild that Drogon was rated so high. Also didn't like the fact that many of the top guys on that list didn't pan out. Yeah that farewell press conference... oof. It means a lot to him, obviously. It's also cool to see that he came in and pretty much said "I'm just going to coach defense", leaving the recruiting up to Matt/Armon, then proceeds to help land a possible hidden gem recruit.

Speaking of... The official flex post was tweeted out yesterday and I have to say... KEVIN!! was probably using the flex emoji in all his tweets, because he knows he needs to get his ass into S&C as soon as he steps on campus. Unlike Carl Drogo, there are approximately ZERO BOULDERS in this picture...

There's some sort of perspective difference (maybe the photographers were of varying heights), because the reference points in the background, don't match up.

May 15th is fairly meaningless. There's always a handful of HS guys that commit after the Spring Signing Period. Basically, they can no longer sign an LOI, but can still sign the financial aid agreement.

That foray into the NBA as a 7'6" guard seems to be going well.

I think the Cross tape might be a bit deceptive since he was going against lesser competition. Horne squared up to the #1 recruit in the country in MO's state championship game and basically matched him in performance.

What about the new rule in football (started last season)? Where you can play in up to FOUR games (1/3 of the season), not like how things are going exactly, so just quit the team, and still keep that year of eligibility for the next school.

I've been impressed by their efficiency, for sure. Get guys in. Get the signature. Make the LOI announcement. Bang... bang... bang. Think about what's possible if they have some actual success at NU to show recruits. So far they've made this look relatively easy with a very small pool of prospects and some intangible concept of what Nebrasketball might look like. How does this all scale-up going forward? Multiple 4-star/top-100s per season? Top 50s? 5-stars? Mickey D's AA's? I mean... where the hell is the ceiling?

I dunno. I feel kinda bad for putting Beilein in the same context as Mike Riley. He really doesn't deserve that.

But is it really official official unless we can go into MS Paint and draw lines from the top of Hoiberg's head over to Carl Drogo's nose? Pretty sure we'll be seeing those Paint diagrams in the Media Guide next year (to back-up any height claims).
