  1. I think they shoot for around 60 invites each year, and they hand them out based on a poll of NBA GMs/front offices. So I don't think he necessarily took an opportunity away from someone else. Actually, maybe he took @Norm Peterson's spot at the Combine.
  2. Not yet from UNL Still on the roster as of 7PM CT, May 8th.
  3. Agreed. I'm not going to grade them on a last-minute-scramble class. I think it's a really good staff. And more importantly it seems exactly right for the job.
  4. WTF TCU? First Ntambwe, now KEVIN!!? We shouldn't expect EVERY recruit to commit on the spot. The run has been pretty good as of late, but don't let expectations become unrealistic. You may be right, he might not have a real offer, but I wouldn't write a guy off because he's fully exploring his options. Agreed. And with him being 6'6", where does that put the guys he was on the court with (where he seemed larger and dominant)? I'd still take him (we have 4 openings), but I wouldn't expect him to come in and contribute year 1.
  5. It seems Coach Dixon might be ready to "get off his parents' couch" and go out and explore the world again.
  6. Officially not invited. https://www.nba.com/article/2019/05/08/66-players-attend-nba-draft-combine
  7. Was going to just post this link in the Ntambwe thread (in Recruiting), but thought the list might provide for some discussion on the main board... 8. No NBA Combine invite, and continues to take campus visits... let's lock this kid up Matt*! * and get a waiver.
  9. Interesting. Very interesting. I don't think he got an NBA Combine invite (haven't found any mention of it), so perhaps the odds he returns to the college game for another year, are increasing. LIST: 1. Roby (probably won't happen) 2. Ntambwe (waiver plz) 3. KEVIN! 4. Jayce 5. Calloo
  10. I don't have to listen to/read NBA GM's bad takes. TLue is going to have coaching opportunities and make craploads of money for years to come no matter what he does this offseason. I'm not worried about that. I just hate the narrative that's growing, among talking heads/basketball fans, that Lue is just LeBron's puppet.
  11. Hopefully that family connection can play a role because this dude is starting to pick up some major offers.
  12. One would hope, but at least with the general population, there seems to be a very small percentage that gives Ty any credit for what happened in Cleveland (other than the meltdown after LBJ left). The day he trended on Twitter, a couple weeks ago, in connection with the Lakers opening, was brutal. It was bad enough when he became a meme when Iverson stepped over him (even though Ty did the best job of putting the clamps on AI in that series)... I hate to watch him become a meme as a coach as well. I'd just rather see Lue separate from that entire mess and chart his own course w/o Bron. Continue on with the Clips, until a much better opportunity opens up.
  13. He used to call him on his cell phone...
  14. Damn, I really hope he turns it down. He's already got the "LeBron's lap dog" stigma, no need to further compound it.
  15. Say what you will about Doc (many have), but of the last 19 seasons, being a program that skews towards defense, Doc managed to put together our best defensive teams (according to KP). His three best seasons at NU record-wise, coincided with his team playing top 25 defense (KP's AdjD). Which, doing so in the B12, with the offensive talent that league had (Durant, Beasley, Griffin, the plethora of KU bluechips, etc) isn't too shabby.
  16. If you look at Fred's offensive efficiency and tempo numbers at ISU, and Doc's defensive efficiency at NU, that combo looks mighty spicy.
  17. Haha. Sorry about the wife tirade. Was just busting your balls (at the wrong time, apparently). No worries Slither. Bhis bread is off be hook? Bhis bread? Sounds tasty.
  18. I think Thor made it pretty clear how he feels... WARNING: NSFW...
  19. That's right... build those relationships...
  20. Checkers Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! ?? Actually, if you look at your original post, I "reacted" with the "Haha". So I wasn't being critical, I was messing around, by using your original post format and taking it a step further. Also... A-a-a-a-a-ahem... .. ahem .. I know this is a minor thing but after seven years it would be nice if we used Searching 4 Chester Surles' correct name. I looked it up and Checkers and Chester are not the same or even close. Okay now I that I got that off my chest, we can continue to cut him from this team. ... wait, wut?
  21. I wouldn't doubt Hoiberg would put 5 - 5'11" guys out there if they were all total ballers. Then he'd offensively scheme them into averaging 92.7 points per game.
  22. Yeah (or at least that's what the tweet leads a person to believe). I was saying click on the tweets, because the one, posted by @uneblinstu above, doesn't tell the whole story. I wish there was a better way to render/embed tweets on here (that would include a tweeted video, or a quoted tweet, etc).
