Why would The Big 10 have any love for Colorado just because Nebraska used to play in a conference with them? You make it sound like Nebraska is the one making all the decisions about who should be added to the Big 10. Nebraska is just lucky the made the move when they did or else we'd be like every other school hoping someone will take us and we are not that attractive of product. Speaking for them, but I would assume the argument was more around capturing another Top 20 metropolitan market, keeping some semblance of proximity (Big Ten was really into having all teams border another Big Ten state), and another potential state to recruit from. But again, speaking on their behalf. That would be the arguments to make in favor of adding this team.

Online polls doing online polls things... Should be no question in my opinion. And that's even taking the bias out of it.

I joked this whole time that the only way to get Notre Dame to join the conference is to have all of their traditional rivals join the conference. USC and Stanford helps round that out

I'd have to verify, but if I recall many of Doc's teams had non-conference SOS schedules in the high 100s/low 200s. I'm not opposed to it if it's going to get this team on the right track and prepared for a grueling conference season. It also helps to have context that we're 7-25 (2-18), 7-20 (3-16), and 10-22 (4-16) in Fred's first three seasons. We can complain that we're getting wins against scrubs, but we've complained a whole lot about losing for the last few years. I'll welcome some change.

Speaking of boxing. I can't say I was heartbroken watching AWIII and the Boeheim's Army lose in the "TBT" tournament.
