With that being said, I'm nowhere near giving up on this team this season. I still see potential wins coming in the remainder of the schedule, and I still see us going to the NIT, and actually making a pretty decent run at it.
-
Not sure you're seeing the point there. Some of those 12 win seasons had nowhere near the preseason expectations this team had. It's disappointing because of how good this team COULD HAVE been, and probably should have been. So yeah, I agree with KLDM here, with preseason expectations, i can't say I've ever been as disapointed with a season as this one.

This kid has been pretty famous on social media for awhile now. I've followed him for about a year or so, and he would definitely be a huge get. The kid is explosive. He would easily be the best dunker this program has ever seen. I'm not saying we're only interested in his dunking ability, don't get me wrong. But the kid can play some basketball, and he would be huge for the future of the program.

I still have the game on my DVR from that night, and still watch it more than once a week. Watching this game never gets old.

NCAA bracket predictions.

Neither SMU or Iowa receiving an at large? I find that hard to believe that both would be kept off.. -
Bad news: The espn bracketology update on the site this morning has "Nebrasksa" listed as the second team out. Even ESPN.com doesn't wanna give us any love. Seriously can't even spell it right?

Up late thinking about how we beat Illinois
Miles ahead of the rest replied to lanigan123's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
One thing that really scares me is that they've lost 5 straight at home like Dimes mentioned... that seems like a streak that won't last much longer and hope were not the ones to help them end it. I have complete confidence that we can win this, but that's just a thought that is getting to me right now. -
Actually tweeted this a couple games ago, but Walt and I salute each other before every game, but the only game that we didn't was the Michigan game cause I couldn't be in the student section for that game. Coincidence anyone?

This is a terrible article. This guy seems like he doesn't have a clue -
The line currently sits at -2 favoring the skers. I know Indiana is in a down year, but pretty cool seeing us be favored against a team like Indiana

They need to go back to the days from 6-7 years ago when they would use Eminem's "Lose Yourself". That song got the crowd and the players going!

I see it alot as a Chane Behanen situation from Louisville this year. Loads of talent and given multiple opportunities to turn it around and just can't. -

I've lost all knowledge on what a charge call is supposed to be? That's is the farthest ting from a charge ive seen in a long time -
Michigan's McGary to Miss NU Game
Miles ahead of the rest replied to throwback's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
To even compare him to Almeida is ridiculous. McGary is very talented. Great mobility for his size, see's the floor well, good touch around the basket to go with good footwork and post moves. To say he's "not very good" is just insane. -
As happy as I was with the unselfishness tonight, as stated in the report card, we were overly passive at times tonight. Tai especially, along with Dev a couple times. Love to see us move the ball around, but one play in particular that frustrated me was early in the second half when Tai drove baseline and instead of an easy up and under for two (or what looked like it was gonna be an easy up and under) he tried to drop it off for Walt i think it was, and instead turned it over.

Player Evaluation through 4 games...
Miles ahead of the rest replied to Section_316's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Parker hasn't even knocked a jump shot down yet this year... How can you honestly say it looks much improved. His mechanics have little to no change from last year.. -
And in 50 minutes of play, the teams still can't accumulate as many as fouls as our game

Looks like it'll be UAB tomorrow morning
