  1. I really hope Ohio State can beat MSU at home tomorrow. don't want to play them when they're still on the donut at 0-5.
  2. We consistently had tough schedules in the past. Yori almost always scheduled a very difficult preseason schedule to prepare the team for the conference season and enhance the RPI for postseason opportunities. So while this schedule is somewhat more difficult due to having UConn on it, it isn't like a tough schedule is some unique development. And, the Big 10, top to bottom, is probably down a little compared to many recent years (not '15-16), outside of Maryland being a national title contender, and Ohio State having great talent. And certainly not as good as the Big 12 was most years. Finally, while it is correct that this schedule "would be tough for any team we had in the past", virtually all of them in recent past would have been dramatically more successful with that schedule. The schedule doesn't have much to do with the situation we're in right now.
  3. Major changes were needed. Could be rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic, but better to go out fighting. This was a realization that all was not well (which was fairly predictable when the assistants were originally hired). Whether Billy Devaney helped with that realization, or if SE was strongly suggesting big moves, doesn't' really matter. This gives them a chance. Realized you can't have multiple coaches on staff here who can't recruit. A late awakening, but better late than never.
  4. Gocha, you are correct. I was forgetting the other foot problem. To bad; hope this doesn't drag on for his whole career.
  5. Did see that live, it was unbelievable. Announcers went nuts.
  6. Been to a lot of other places as well. When the radio broadcaster points it out, and many people call PBA The Library, there may be something to it. I wouldn't just dismiss it out of hand, but I respect your opinion. And just FWIW, I would think those paying $120 a ticket would be less stand up, young, and noisy then a lot of crowds. At least that used to be the theory when the B section at Devaney sat on their hands all game. Anyway, I can't be blamed. I was 3 beers in by 1:00 p.m. Sunday.
  7. We were told then that it was plantar fascitis. This is a foot injury confirmed by an MRI. Probably not the same issue. I suspect it happened prior to or during the NW game; Ed was not himself during much of that game.
  8. I don't blame the loss on the crowd. But I did think it was pretty lame, and mentioned that way before we lost. Just thought that with the momentum and winning street, and capacity crowd, it could have been a lot louder and more consistent with making noise, standing, and helping with defense. My thoughts on it have nothing to do with winning or losing the game, or spinning. Just an opinion. Maybe I shouldn't have gone to Allen Field house the last 3 years and watched what KU fans do even when they play bad teams and are up 30. But even comparing to the mortals of college hoops, I think we can do better.
  9. Gate 25 did....shots and everything.
  10. Bad news? What other kind is there with regard to Husker Hoops?
  11. That Rutgers team looked pretty disinterested other than the last couple minutes. Something is not right with that group right now.
  12. Which I plan to do this year......I will report back!
  13. Good work, Donkey. Perhaps we'll hear from Legend, who has been amazingly quiet the past two weeks.
  14. Kenya is a bad-ass recruiter. Need to continue to keep that guy happy.
  15. Jimmy, I wouldn't put the thought of Merrill Streep in your shower in the category of thinking clearly. You might want to stay on those meds a little longer.....
  16. Leaving in a few minutes to head down to the good place. Pretty fired up for a Sunday.
  17. Very concerned sbout this. We need a healthy and athletic Roby going forward.
  18. Or if Fran is a raging lunatic
  19. CWG, if you would meet me at the bar, you wouldn't have that issue with getting out of the parking lots!
  20. We better keep recruiting. Justin Cook is an amazing talent. Among others.
  21. I needed, and had, several. Today isn't going so well.
  22. Very troubling. We can't lose anyone at this point. After Webster fouled out, Horne played the best defense he has all year. I was very concerned, especially when he was guarding Jok. I thought he did a great job, especially at something he has struggled with all year. Great effort.
