I would love it if they would have a souvenir cup that was good for the whole season. It’s sorta awkward wearing a big coat into games when it’s 50 outside and having to wait for the first media timeout to get a “refill”

1. JPJ doing some great things. I like how he’s now becoming more consistent at the foul line. 2. Thomas Allen is starting to turn a big corner and I can’t wait to see what he does in conference play. 3. Someone needs to get these guys some blackshirts cause the Defense is nasty in a good way. 4. Not a great night for Roby and Watson on the offensive side, but made up for it on the other end. 5. Costello’s 3 and his teammates’ reactions is what makes this team so much fun to cheer for. 6. Sioux Falls brought it tonight. We need to make that place PBA north or mini PBA or my personal favorite, the ATM. Great place to play when students aren’t on campus. Any chance Mr. Mors was there?

2021 F Matthew Mors -> Wisconsin
rwhiston replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
As long as we’re recruiting this kid. (Or even better if he’s on the team) we should try and play a non con game in Sioux Falls. Cool atmosphere and nice to see Miles get the hometown welcome. Hopefully they can do the same for Mors down the road -

I've lived in Omaha since 2011. Huskers last win against Council Bluffs State was in 2010. It feels so good to walk into work today and my blue bird coworkers weren't chirping. I made sure to walk in wearing my Husker basketball sweatshirt and dropped off a bag of 100 grand bars to the break room. I'm gonna enjoy this year folks and I hope we all do. #letemcry -

Watching on the espn deportes telecast via the app. I love how the announcer rolls the R on Roby!!! -
Maybe it was the same place Iowa found all those lanky, ugly, white guys. Which was in fact Iowa

I could see it working both positively and negatively for us in basketball. As we've seen in football some guys get beat out for starting jobs and after 4 games they bolt. With basketball and the current culture of college athletes, this could have huge impacts on teams as far as depth if a kid isn't starting but still plays wants to move on midway through the year. (A little like what Jordy tried to pull last year but on a bigger scale.) be On the flip side a rule like this would mean a kid like Tanner would have another year left and he wouldn't be punished for playing like 1 minute of mop up duty his sophomore year.

Saturday afternoon games remind me of getting the scoop via the Phillips 66 studio and having to ask my dad what a Whataburger was.

I come to Nebraska because... I got hurt at my old school and then burried on the depth chart behind the next year’s set of 5 stars I’m from the state and know the potential of the program I want to start instantly and be the lead player and probably want to go to college for more than 1 year I like playing to the beat of my own drum. I will likely vote Nader in the next election. I don’t care who my teammates are I don’t come to Nebraska I can’t name a single NBA player from Nebraska I want Dickie V to call me a diaper dandy I play on the Nike AAU circuit My handlers tell me where to go so I can make us the most money I want to play with all the guys I squared up against at the AAU level and know that they can ball

I sure hope so. We really haven’t had many freshman make a major impact in the miles era. Shavon and Glynn are the only that come to mind

I wonder if Ty Lue could put in a good word for us?

2019 PF Kadin Shedrick -> Virginia
rwhiston replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Good for the kid. Congrats on going to a program who has been consistently near the top in recent years. I know they win and winning is good, but I find Virginia's brand of basketball painful to watch. It reminds me of Sadler's style on offense but with better players. -
The last stretch with Purdue, Michigan, Michigan State will be a good chance to showcase who we are. I love closing the season at home on Sunday!

I’ll echo what bobcat said about Nana’s work ethic. As the season went one and he saw less time I think he spent more time in the gym shooting after games and what not. Besides him singing random songs in the car, his Instagram story this summer has been filled with him hitting up the local gyms and working on his. I hope Nana can be the off the bench 3 point slayer. It’d be a great story of grit and gumption. Speaking of which I hope the same for Tanner.

Yes yes I knew that. Jeremiah’s a good friend of mine. Darn auto correct. ?
-
What if he’s more like Jeremiah Horne but with a better attitude? Comparisons aside I think was a quality find for what we needed this season. Interesting to see what he plays at after a few months with a strength program
-
Ideally if he can be 4-6 points and 6 boards a game type player, then it'll be a great pick up, especially in games where we find ourselves in foul trouble. More importantly though is if he gives Roby and Cope some time on the bench to rest. It's a long season and we'll need those two to be full strength when we get into conference play. I'm hopeful this is a diamond in the rough find.
-
I like the size and strength of this kid. Looks built for big ten basketball. The question of who he’ll guard would be one of my biggest concerns. Also any chance he’s got the same fashion sense as his uncle Rod
-
Otzelberger is a great recruiter and an on the rise coach. It’ll be interesting to see if this kid will keep his commit if a major. modwestern school is looking for a coaching, let’s say Iowa State

I’m waiting for Ryan Anderson to write a song about it
