Duquesne (4-1) vs. Nebraska (5-0) Game Thread
rwhiston replied to Bugeaters1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
This game just showed the arsenal we have with this roster. So many different skills that compliment each other. It reminds me of the 09-10 season but the players are better and we aren't reminded constantly that Lance Jeter played football at Cincinnati -
My big beef with Diaz was not just his emotions in his own game but also how he responded to his teammates and coaches. He made a lot of mistakes and anytime someone on the team called him out he just had this whatever look on his face. Isaac Copeland wasn't the most emotional guy but you could also tell it mattered to him. I'll judge Williams when the going gets tough.

Could we be a couple years away from Senebraska?

I wonder if it's going on the fridge at Fred and Carol's?

Is he the "player to be named later" in the Jordy trade?

Rick Pitino is a Jackwagon. -
2021 SG Hunter Sallis ->Gonzaga->Wake Forest
rwhiston replied to AuroranHusker's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
The pressure on Sallis to succeed here is more than it is at Wake. Probably the most pressure a Nebraska player would have ever had. Someone who was confidence in their game would not have cared. No pressure, no diamonds. Thank you next. -
Kid looks like he trained at the Cobra Kai dojo.

I was always a big Rik Smits fan.

2022 F Isaac Traudt - Virginia->Creighton
rwhiston replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
What a load of BS. As if that fanbase wasn't entitled enough. Have fun Isaac hope she's worth it. Craytin still sucks. -
After seeing the highlights of that NIT game how on earth does Wisconsin not let Chucky take that over at the end

I wish he shot arrows after he made a foul shot. That was more rare

2022 F Isaac Traudt - Virginia->Creighton
rwhiston replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
That interview gave me at least a sliver of hope. Miah was a helluva player HC. Saw him play several times. Glad to hear Traudt has one person in his circle that favors the good guys. Does anyone know if Traudt's sister is good enough for John Cook to consider? -

Rocking a Jackrabbit shirt from brother-in-law tomorrow. Closest thing I have to SDSU apparel. #anyonebutcraytin

Shockingly Princeton won't be the most pretentious school in that matchup!

uneblinstu's postgame chatter: vol 15, ed 31: at Iowa
rwhiston replied to HuskerFever's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
He came down with some clutch rebounds when it counted. I hope his leadership legacy continues next year -
As a Nebrasketball fan living in Omaha it felt so great waking up and walking into work today. It's been so annoying to hear from every Jaysker coworker, or neighbor or local sports radio host talk about how Craytin has a final 4 team. How the culture with the program was at an all time high. How this was going to be their year. Then they lost badly to us. Today made me smile. Real Nebraskans where red. 100 grand bars all around.

Good recruiter but did he actually do any coaching? It just seemed like in timeouts he was always off to the side and in interviews it was always recruiting focus. If all he was bringing to the table was establishing good relationships with recruits I'm hopeful we can do better. At any rate I'm sure we can find someone at the Alpha Chi Omega house who would be just as successful texting and DMing 18-22 year old guys.

"Richard Pitino is a Jackwagon" on repeat all afternoon.
