  1. I was just reading something on McCollum and had his name on my brain but meant Wrightsell. My bad. Thank God it's Friday......
  2. They have been friends for a long time and have talked about playing together in college. So they think if they can get Javian to commit, it might help get Hunter to join him
  3. Coming from one of the NU assistant coaches, it sounds very promising we might get Javian McCollum. As far as Hunter Sallis, he is 60/40 to come to NU. Sounds like he wants to commit but his mom is against it and wants him to go to a bigger name school. NU staff thinks if they can get Javian to commit, it might help get Hunter to commit after that. Stay tuned as things could get very interesting especially if we have more than 2 kids wanting to come to NU as we'd need to have a current scholarship player leave.
  4. I hope he averages 2 PPG and CU loses every single game.
  5. Great news so far today on the recruiting front. Now we have 2 spots currently open and 3 players still on our wish list with Hunter Sallis, John Hugley and Javian McCollum. I'd love to end this thing with Sallis and McCollum but always nice to have another force down low with Hugley. I guess I'd be happy land any 2 of these 3 players.
  6. If Glynn wasn't a point guard, what is your definition a point guard then?
  7. Hunter is taking an official visit to Nebraska the weekend of April 21 - 23
  8. Curious where you are hearing rumors as I haven't seen anything where he is N. Would be a very nice get if it's true and hope it is.
  9. Maybe a nice Easter basket will seal the deal.
  10. You could have Kansas vs. Kentucky and potentially still have a double digit win. This was a year of upsets and CU had a very favorable path to get the National Championship game and they didn't do it. If San Diego State didn't go over 11 minutes without a field goal, it might have been a closer game.
  11. it will be anytime now and heard we offered him over $100,000 NIL money but girlfriend is going to win out.
  12. I'm hearing he is planning on committing to CU as early as tonight. His high school coaches and parents want him to come to NU but his girlfriend is wanting him to come to CU instead.
  13. If we had replay's the entire game, games would be 4 hours long. I understand your point as I always find it funny that something can happen at 2:01 left in the game and they can't review it but it if happens 2 seconds later, they can review it.
  14. Well, we didn't raise you right if you don't hate Creighton :)
  15. Total valid question as it's difficult to keep paying the donation and cost of season tickets when the kids that are here are already looking ahead to where they can go to get a better deal. There is absolutely no difference between college and pro sports now other than the college athletics are younger. I was so against NIL as knew once we went down this path, it would totally ruin what we all loved in college athletics. With this younger generation, it's just never enough. They always want more. I have been a die hard NU hoops fans for several decades but makes it harder and harder to continue to pay to go watch kids that are only here until they can get more money somewhere else. And what's more sad it NIL is just starting so the money and effect it will have will only get worse. Basically, that is the only way to recruit is tell the kid how much money you will pay him. My, how times have changed and not for the better.
  16. I didn't see any leadership qualities from him but think he had potential to be a good player for us. He showed flashes but needed more consistency. Hate to lose Freshman but that is the world today. You start 6 games at a freshman at a Big 10 school and still not good enough for you. In today's world, your lucky if you get a kid to stay for even 2 years. Sad times.
  17. About time you recognized this.....lol. I appreciate you stepping up your game and helping the program move forward. :)
  18. This is alot of the problem with Nebraska basketball is no expectations. We absolutely should have expectations and we'll continue being a below average basketball program until that changes.
  19. It's to the point where if we aren't in post season next season, it might be time to re-evaluate if Fred is the guy to continue to lead this program forward or not.
  20. His girlfriend attends Creighton so could easily see him ending up there.
  21. That is a totally fair question and the answer in NO. We were not a great offensive team with our previous lineup and with injuries, we were forced to play guys that are much better on the offensive end of the floor while still giving full effort on the defensive end. I think Fred is finally getting back to how he likes to coach as previous seasons, it seemed like there was conflicts in philosophy with assistants on best way to coach and win games. You can see they are all on the same page. You can't win gave based on playing defensive only. We finally have a lineup that can score which was lacking earlier. I 100% tip my hat to the coaching staff as well as the entire roster (including Bandoumel and Gary) for this season and watching this team and coaching staff evolve to what it is today. Extremely impressive
