  1. That is accurate that you put your in a position that the only acceptable loss would be to CU. Any other loss (other than maybe St. Mary's most likely will be a Q3 or Q4 loss. And with how bad our non-conference schedule is, you can't have any bad losses if you want to make the tournament.
  2. I will go to every game as well but there won't be a big crowd or much excitement for these games. You couldn't get a worse home schedule. No room for error with how bad this schedule is.
  3. Absolutely horrible home schedule. It's going to be extremely difficult to get fans to want to come out and watch any of these games. Expect a terrible home atmosphere. Please talk quietly with the people you sit by otherwise they will hear you on the other side of the arena.
  4. I know for volleyball, I had mobile tickets and wanted to give them to my parents to go to a game but they don't have smart phones. I called ticket office and they printed out tickets and had them at the will call window for them but it was like a $2 charge to do that.
  5. It's very easy. All you need is his email or cell number. He then just needs to accept the transfer and you are all set. Mobile tickets are the best. Last year, it even deleted the old tickets and added the current ticket to your wallet. Pretty slick.
  6. As long as he didn't commit to CU, didn't care where he ended up.
  7. My stance is college players shouldn't be getting paid as they are already getting paid with free education, meals, clothes, etc. However, now that they can get paid, it's hard to blame them leaving to make more money. I have said that now college kids are getting paid, it has ruined college sports like we know it. There is no difference between college and pro now. It has completed changed the landscape in college sports for how you recruit now. You don't sell them on your school but rather what kind of NIL deal you can put together for them. Things change and even if I prefer the days before NIL, just have to adapt to the way it is now cause it ain't going to go back. I would agree with you that fans had higher expectations for Trev and his tenure here at Nebraska. I was one of them but I'm just not someone who needs to take cheap shots at him for leaving if he felt like that was a better opportunity for him. It obviously had to be a hard decision to leave the school he played his college days at so there had to be strong reasons for him to walk. I may not have liked it either but I try to be objective and understand his side as well.
  8. He got a job offer and accepted it. Exactly what are you expecting that he is never allowed to leave Nebraska? He went from UNO to UNL to Texas A&M very quickly so he must be doing something right. I was hoping he would stay at UNL longer but if someone offered me more money, I'd do the same thing he did. Hard to hold a grudge against him for taking a job offer with potentially better opportunities (especially with the deep pockets Texas &M has).
  9. Or congrats to A&M for being the National Champion Runner up. Great series to watch and they played some outstanding baseball. Maybe it's time for NU fans to quit being so bitter and not make everything so personal. Trev made a business decision to take a different job. It happens. Congrats to Trev and Texas A&M for a great championship series and congrats to the Vols for a tremendous season and your National Championship. Well deserved...
  10. Worst news ever but leave it to the NCAA to take something perfect the way it is and mess it all up just for the sake of money.
  11. The one thing I would change is take away the opportunity to call a time out when you are trying to inbound the ball. I hate it when you can call a timeout before the 5 second count. To me, you should be able to inbound the ball or it's a turnover. How about rewarding the defense and not just allowing the playing to inbound to turn to the ref and call a timeout. That would definitely change many endings to games.
  12. That's my point. It's OK to play a couple of cupcakes but we have way to many on the schedule.
  13. Not sure we will have a good NET before big 10 play unless we beat Creighton. Not alot of other challenging games on the schedule other than St. Mary's.
  14. We need to add a few more challenging games to the schedule.
  15. Agreed. Sam got minutes out of necessity but he earned the right to keep those minutes. However, as we upgrade in talent, Sam has to bring something to the table to get minutes. He was not an effective scorer and not athletic enough to guard some of the other teams PG's. Sam has a great story but think his minutes will be limited this season.
  16. You might need to explain this to me a little more. I would think the opposite. With the amount of money these kids are making, they are staying in college longer and thus having less spots for kids from small schools to move up because there are less spots available on a P5 school. I'm just not understanding how it would be more easy now for a kid to work his way into a P5 school if kids aren't leaving school at the rate they used to because they are making millions to stick around at the P5 schools. So how it is easier than ever for a kid to work his way into a P5 school?
  17. I would agree. As a player, this is all great news but as a fan, I liked the old model where you had to keep your amateur status to play college sports. Now the only difference between college and pro's is one you get recruited and the other, you get drafted. And 18-20 year old kids will just shop around every year to see if they can get a bigger paycheck. So just because you get a "Dylan Raiola" as a recruit doesn't mean he will be here longer than one season if he can get a bigger paycheck somewhere else. Money changes things as it's usually not for the better.
  18. Makes sense and hope you are right.
  19. Now that our squad if pretty set, fun to think about the different options for a starting lineup. Here is my guess and who else will be in the rotation Starters Ahron Ulis Brice Williams Juwan Gary Gavin Griffiths Braxton Meah In the rotation Sam Hoiberg Andrew Morgan Conner Essegian Rollie Worster Could be sleeper Nick Janowski
  20. At the age he would be at and going through a major surgery, it's hard to think he will stick around for a redshirt year and then stay and another season after that. I really hope he does but I would think it will be a longshot he stays at NU for 2 more years.
  21. Not sure that is the plan as I doubt that he sticks around and plays the following season. I hope he does but most likely won't happen
  22. Not a great lineup but still worth a trip to Hawaii
  23. Absolutely. Got word this morning he was committing.
  24. I'm hearing that Washington center Braxton Meah will be committing to Nebraska. He is 7' 1" and 250. Would be a solid pickup for 1 year.
