What are the records vs. what our percentage is now?
-
In the last 10 seasons (including years at Butler), Holtman has won 20 or more games and made the NCAA tournament every year except last year. Sad world we live in when this isn't good enough anymore. Stupid move by Ohio State and even more stupid to do it Mid-February.
-
If they could have just gotten that win at Illinois, our resume would be very solid with 4 wins against teams in the top 20 (and one of them being a road win).
-
True but glad he isn't wearing red. Just not a fan of his game.

I can handle losing but can't handle when the team doesn't give effort. That is just unacceptable!!! -

And what makes it even worse is the ref that called the foul was behind CJ so had no angle to see any contact. The ref that had the correct angle to make the call didn't blow his whistle. Based on how physical they were letting them play all game, there is no way you can make that call. -
Wisconsin (16-4) vs. Nebraska (15-6) Game Thread

Eli sprained an ankle this week in practice. -
Still have us projected as a 10 seed at the moment. As much as our road plays sucks, we still have a pretty solid resume some some impressive wins. http://www.bracketmatrix.com/

Actually Nebraska might be the only team to potentially make the claim. Northwestern also beat Purdue but lost to Wisconsin and doesn't play them again. So good chance that Nebraska would be the only team to be able to accomplish this. First things first is we have to beat Wisconsin.

That would be one of the dumbest moves ever if they let him go. He has won 20 or more games every season at Ohio State except one. He has finished in the Top 5 in the conference standings in 4 of his 6 seasons. But I wouldn't be surprised if they parted ways if they don't have a strong finish to end this year. -
I don't think you are the only one. Many people were down on CJ but he proved everyone wrong. I like people like you Husker4theSpurs who are willing to be critical (which is fair) but also provided praise when appropriate. It's easy to always fault or be negative but never come back and provide praise to same person when it's deserved. Most people (including myself) can fall in the trap. Great job CJ. You deserve some high praise this year as this team would not be where it's at without you.

He should have sat as he was horrible on defense and took several bad shots. Other players were just playing better. -
Or just one of them.

Clearly Caitlin Clark can shoot but also she is a bad actress as well. What a diva/drama queen/Karen. -

Agreed. It was probably closer to 10,000 in actual attendance. Still a great crowd that was into the game the whole time. I had seats in the student section right behind Purdue's bench and we stood the entire game. Great atmosphere!!! -
Is Hoiberg the coach of this team next year?
kldm64 replied to huskerbill85's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
And if Fred does get us to the tournament and we actually win a game, our level of recruits will jump dramatically. Hoiberg's name still cares alot of weight. I agree it has taken longer than expected but think he has finally figured out what it takes to win in the Big 10 and how to recruit and build a roster. -
As long as he is back by Purdue game as we don't have much shot to beat them without him.

Future 2024 Conference Opponents (Today)

I just don't want to play a game at Oregon cause that floor makes me dizzy. -
I use this site. Right now, they are projecting us as a 12 seed. http://www.bracketmatrix.com/

Not surprised as deserved to drop after a slim margin win at home against a team should have won easily.
-
My bad for sure. I was in a hurry

Head coach Fred Hoiberg confirmed that junior forward Rienk Mast underwent minor clean-up surgery on his left knee on Monday. Mast’s recovery timeframe is to be determined, but Hoiberg expects him to rejoin the lineup by early January. At a minimum, the 6-foot-10, 248-pounder will miss tonight’s game vs. North Dakota and Friday night’s non-conference finale vs. South Carolina State. His availability beyond that will be day-to-day.

Just think what things would look like had we not collapsed in the 2nd half at Minnesota and have another road win. We'd be 10-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Amazing how 1 game can change so much.
