  1. He just reclassified to 2020
  2. Very excited to see how we look Saturday. Even though I was disappointed in the amount and the significance of the mistakes we made versus Colorado, for the first time in a while I am confident the mistakes will be addressed and get fixed.
  3. Update on the 12th game: Frost wants it played on the bye week. Says team has a good chance to play for the Big Ten Championship (Dec 1st). Thanks to the storm UCF will be looking for a 12th game as well. They happen to have the same bye week as us. Doesnt look like it will happen though as Frost says, he would cringe a little everytime one of our players went to sack the QB (McKenzie Milton) and that thats not a good state of mind to have when youre trying to win a football game.
  4. I am gonna go out on a limb and say we have two 2019 commits by the end of the month (Akol Arop and Mika Adams-Woods). *I say this with absolutely no inside info*
  5. With not the greatest offer list, do we expect a commit this weekend?
  6. Remember i stated, "purely off of rankings". Im not saying Tim Miles doesnt have a good eye for underrated talent or isnt good at developing players. Just that our roster is very top heavy in terms of player rankings and stars. Next year, on paper, we arent a very talented team. Also, of all the prospects you mentioned none of them are top 150 or 4* guys at the moment. Which is exactly my point.
  7. Looks like ?Hurricane Florence? is gonna cause a lot of cancellations this weekend. Should make it a little easier to find a 12th game now.
  8. Our talent level is dwindling and is very top heavy (purely off of rankings) Seniors: James Palmer, Glynn Watson, and Isaac Copeland Juniors: Isaiah Roby Sophomores: Nana Akenten and Thomas Allen Freshmen: N/A The rest of the roster were 3* or below and not ranked by any services coming out of high school. Including 5 underclassmen. FWIW.
  9. Way too many mistakes to win this game. Penalties, turnovers, and BIG TIME drops. Martinez's pass to Morgan in the endzone and Bunch's pass to Speilman for a would have been first down couldnt have been much better. However, there is a lot to like. It will take some time for the team to adopt a winning mentality and break the bad habits that developed under the previous staff. But I came away excited for the future. This isnt a game we lose later on in the year. Hell i dont think we lose this game if we played last week.
  10. I didnt realize Creighton had only ever won 3 sets EVER against Nebraska volleyball coming in to last nights game. That is crazy.
  11. Tanner got up there with some of his dunks. I am impressed.
  12. Yes. Amir gained 25lbs and got two inches taller.
  13. Is Hieman really up to 215? Good for him!!!
  14. Sounds like a December matchup (during conference championship weekend) is a real possibility. If Akron wants it. Also, we could find an opponent down south to play. Seems like they always lose a game to hurricane season. Could double up as a nice recruiting trip too. Either way I think we find a 12th game to play. *If the schedules work out, South Dakota State also had their game canceled. Just spit ballin here.
  15. So basically one at each spot plus an extra wing or front court player. I think the three gaurds returning will be legitimate players. Aside from Roby, the other two spots have a lot of uncertainty and unproven players (hopefully not so uncertain and unproven after this season). So an extra body in either would be nice to work with.
  16. How dare you expect basketball news two days before the Frost Era officially begins ?
  17. True. Keep forgetting about the rule change.
  18. Cal St. Fullerton and SW Minnesota St are the final two opponents (in order of dates) 4 games v. NCAA qualifiers and 2 v. NIT qualifiers from last season.
  19. And it would be so far into the season you have to consider would it be a waste of a year of eligibility. Lord knows they take their time on these issues.
  20. They are working on Vedral's eligibility again in wake of Gebbia's departure.
  21. The only thing thats preventing me from going all gloom and doom is that i have complete faith in this coaching staffs ability to develop players. I bet Bunch is a much better player than he was in the spring game (where he still looked serviceable) and i am willing to bet he will be much improved by the end of the season. Oh and theres finally a freaking game this Saturday!!!
  22. Just to be clear, I am not throwing any shade at Frost bc obviously hindsight is 20/20. I could be wrong, but as I understood it an appeal was never filed to attain immediate eligibility for Vedral. They felt that they didnt have a strong case and decided not to file the appeal. Which at the time made sense as we had two talented freshmen duking it out and another QB in Bunch who at least seems to be competent.
  23. He said they didnt feel like they had a good enough csse so they werent going to file the appeal.
  24. Just to play Devils Advocate, lets not put this all on Gebbia. Its possible that the coaching staff was stringing Gebbia along just to keep him for another year to help with QB depth. Next year Martinez will be a year older, Noah Vedral will be eligible, and Christian McCaffery will be on campus. Next year Gebbia is much more dispensable, this year not so much. Its possible the QB race wasnt as close as advertised and it was just made to seem that way to keep Gebbia from leaving (fail). Now let me state I think Coach Frost and Co have more character than that and are very straightforward with the players and media. Just dropping it as a possibility. Bet Frost regrets not fighting harder for Vedral's eligibility now. Heres to Andrew Bunch seeing mop up duty and only mop up duty.
  25. Wouldnt be surprised given that there are two freshmen ahead of him currently on the depth chart. We seem to have a couple good ones coming in for next year too.
