  1. With only 10 schollie players available, ya gotta think we will be seeing a lot of everyone this season. I think we go 9 deep. Itll whittle down to 8 if Brady develops over the season and can hold his own defensively. Until then i think Miles just throws Tanner or Brady out there hoping to get 15 min of solid post play between the two. Thor will play more than he did last year but will not be an every game type guy. Everything else seems figured out at this point.
  2. Howd the attempts from 3 look? Good shot selection and just not falling or were they a little trigger happy?
  3. Some of the lineups seemed like we were drawing names out of a hat ?? Trueblood, Copeland, Hieman, and Borchardt were all on the court at the same time for a stretch.
  4. Is it on radio anywhere?
  5. I was so upset for .2 seconds. Thought i had the time for the game wrong. Dont do that to me ?
  6. Good pick. Sophomore Walt would be nice has the size and shooting we need.
  7. Vedral is officially the backup Frost announced today.
  8. How many minutes do you think he plays on average?
  9. So gotta get two front court players right? A freshman and a grad transfer would be ideal.
  10. That very well may be how it shakes out. If thats all we get from em, Roby and Copeland are gonna have quite the work load which worries me. Both Copeland and Roby have a little injury history and Roby hasnt proven that he can consistently stay out of foul trouble. Between Nana, Hieman, and Borchardt hopefully the staff figures out something that wont break down Roby and Cope.
  11. Just to be clear im talking about a combined 15-18 minutes. Not individually. You still think that is too much?
  12. Like Jack McVeigh v Creighton last year level defense or worse?
  13. Also another thing i have considered, what about Hieman backing Copeland up at the 4? With his slighter build he might have more success defending an opposing teams 4 and seems to have the range to play the position. Also, Brady has stated that Miles recruited him as stretch 4 type of player.
  14. Yeah im hoping to honestly get 20 min a game from the two of them but think that might be a reach. I also know Nana could figure into the conversation at the 4 if we go small.
  15. Heres my take on the depth chart going in to the exhibition game tomorrow: PG: Glynn Watson -> Amir Harris -> Thomas Allen SG: Thomas Allen -> Amir Harris -> Thor Thorbjarnarson GF: James Palmer -> Nana Akenten -> Thor Thorbjarnarson F: Isaac Copeland -> Isaiah Roby -> Nana Akenten C : Isaiah Roby -> Tanner Borchardt -> Brady Hieman
  16. So Tanner is ahead of Brady. That seems clear. But is Brady still expected to play on a nightly basis? Or is he trending more towards how Tanner was used last year (20 games, 6ish minutes a game) Ideally would like to get 15-18 minutes a game Tanner and/or Brady.
  17. Atleast we will have depth behind Martinez with Bunch, McCaffery, and Vedral. I remember Vedral also looking the worst during the spring game. However, Frost continues to rave about him.
  18. Ehhhh. Both of Floridas losses are to one loss teams and they have great win at home over LSU and a solid road win Miss St. UCFs best victory is a one point win over 4-4 Memphis, that recently got blown out by Mizzou. If UCF finishes undefeated they will have a set of quality wins, but as of rn they have nothing going for them except being undefeated.
  19. Its a good podcast. I would also recommend it. If you are not a full blown Creighton hater you should be able to stomach it and will likely enjoy it.
  20. Im not too mad about it. Its kinda where i had them at. They havent beaten a team with a winning record yet this season. Not all of it is there fault. But they will have chances for quality wins against Temple, USF, Cincy, and Houston
  21. Interesting piece from the podcast. They finished with each picking who would win if the teams played each other today. Both beat writers picked the other team.
  22. Has anyone listened to this? I just did while enjoying this fall weather on a nice little run. It is a joint podcast between Chris Heady (NU MBB beat writer) and Jon Nyatawa (CU beat writer). On the first episode they preview both mens bball teams and talk about the ongoing FBI investigation.
  23. Were thin on bodies now. Gotta think they add another walk on. Maybe we can strike another Tanner Borchardt like player ?
  24. Gotcha. Wasnt sure if he was being mentioned bc of something positive you had heard about him.
