Its almost hard to make a list bc theres so many guys were in on rn. Alot of good ones.
-
Updated list for me. I think we get Cam Mack and Jayce Johnson. And the additional scholarship plus whatever other attrition occurs is used on sit out transfers.
-
Theres the connection
-
Kevin Cross 6'8 F from Little Rock, Arkansas. Has offers from TCU, Ok State, and Arkansas.
-
Just realized i was thinking ILB. That is a very thin position group. OLB can take a hit on bodies and be fine.
-
Anybody heard anything on how the visits have been going? Havent heard or read anything on how it went with the UNLV guys, Maurice Calloo, or that Seattle grad transfer.
-
Breon Dixon and Quayshon Alexander are both transferring. Getting pretty thin at OLB.
-
I meant to post this yesterday but forgot. Thats a pretty good selling point to Cam Mack. Oh you want to get to the NBA? Let me show you my man Monte Morris. He's a little busy rn playing playoff bball. Same size and similar skill set. I think we lock up Cam Mack within a few days of his visit.

Keeping up with the offers/visits

Worth noting is that we currently have 8 guys who are eligible next year. Sounds as if Hoiberg is comfortable with 10. It will be interesting to see how hard they pursue eligibility for some of these guys. They have already said they like 2-3 guys sitting out a year. -

He has only played one year for St. Johns so I would guess he is sit one to play three. However, he is listed as a sophomore. -

Im not saying he wasn't a good player. Its just funny that his name comes up in discussions about some of the best recent shooters we have had. When in reality he wasnt a great or even good 3 point shooter for most of his career. -

Gallegos was the best average shooter of all time ??? -
8 of the top 10 are in the playoffs. Five of which will be playing in the conference semis or further. No dog in this fight. Just thought id share that for those who dont pay attention to the NBA.
-
Crazy to think three of our four conference losses are via a walkoff. Definitely some winning to be done to secure a regional! GBR

Question for the Husker insiders....
khoock replied to Husker Hoops Penitent's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
My thoughts as well. A player typically transfer after two years in a program (atleast thats how it seems). Amir, Brady, and KD would all fit that mold next year. As for Thor, he is a little different bc he has the ties overseas and could make the jump whenever. I could very well see all three to four of them staying and trying Hoiberg out for a year. And if it isnt a fit on their part or Hoibergs they could leave after the season. Hoiberg wants 10 guys eligible and right now we have 9 (including Roby). -
My case is that his recruiting hasnt fallen off as bad as some make it seen. Has it taken a drop to some degree? Absolutely Norm. But its still a decent group. - 2019 Top 5 JUCO player. Props to Miles for getting in on him early. Thats part of recruiting. - 2019 #1 player in NE. Props to Miles for grabbing him even with the previous experience with the athletes older brother. Also, we have seen a handful of unheralded local kids go on to be big time college players... and make it to the league - 2020 Top 100 player from Lincoln. Good on Miles for securing his commit. Especially when he is a top level kid and we are not even the best program in the state. - 2020 player from Indiana who is Top 3(ish) in his state. Good on Miles for seeing his value and potential and getting in on him early. As for MAW, who knows. Didnt seem like the staff prioritized getting out to see him or getting him on campus. Could be mutual or maybe MAW said ya know what without Miles i dont feel that comfortable away from home. Let me see what my options around here are. But we could make arguments for and against Miles recruiting all day. I agree that it has fallen off to a degree, but will not agree that it has fallen off as far as some like to think. That is all.
-
So Hoiberg and Co have kept 4 out of 5 of Miles 2019 and 2020 commits. Miles couldnt have fallen off too bad in the recruiting department, even with all the contract amd hot seat talk.
-
More than likely. But im holding on by a string that Roby returns.
-
Cam Mack and Jayce Johnson. What you think?
-
I dont know much about him tbh. I went with JTT more bc it sounds like they want 2-3 guys sitting out every year and he fits that criteria. I put Jayce Johnson fairly high (even though hes averages 7pts, 7reb, and 20min) bc im really hoping we can convince Roby to stay by selling the idea of being able to develop his NBA skill set as a 4. Johnson and a year older Heiman could hopefully cover a majority of the minutes at the 5.
-
1. Cam Mack 2. Joel Ntambwe 3. Jayce Johnson 4. Matej Karas 5. Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua If more open up: 6. Haanif Cheatham 7. Maurice Calloo

Bats jave been cold since Creighton took it to us. Gotte figure it out before we lose the good position we have built.
-
I wonder if they will squeeze any of them in as a midweek game these last few weeks? After Creighton on Tuesday we have no more midweek games. Probably will depend on availability of facilities and staffing, as well as if theres any benefit to playing them now. Dont think a win against UNO or NDSU does anything for the RPI.
-
Guessing since we havent heard of him coming on another official visit, one or both parties isnt interested.
