  1. Chaz might be too experienced to let his team lose. We control him down the stretch we obviously have a much better chance. Who is going to be our go to guy down the stretch. Who will not be afraid to win. That is the tough part about this season. Learning to win is not easy.
  2. Hell of an idea. I might do that too.
  3. Come on Peltz. Job is to just be a guy out there. Don't make mistakes.
  4. The nice thing is we have guys that can put the ball in the basket. The other things can be taught.
  5. Damn there are going to be some incredible overreactions both ways with this type of team. It is going to be an interesting season.
  6. petteway again creating a bucket even though he missed.
  7. You're kidding, right? No and with all due respect I think my eye is better than yours. Petteway is the only player I'd take, Then that proves my eye is better.
  8. Not even remotely close to being correct about being better without him. That is one of the dumbest things I have heard on here in a while. Ouch. Thanks for that. Petteway often passes up great opportunities for assists. I have yet to see him pass on a break away. And it's not like he makes a good percentage of his shots. At least he isn't as bad at the line as Webster. Pretty small sample size don't you think to be wanting guys ran out of here?

  10. I would argue we have a fair bit more.

  12. I think we have better players. Just need to start playing better.
  13. Is that a double negative... cause the way that reads is... we have a small chance at a home win this year in conference. Yep, I mangled that. We should not expect sure losses at home.
  14. UMASS favored by 3.5. New Mexico by 8, Davidson by 1 and Clemson by 2 in the others.
  15. As long as we learn to move the ball, share it well all the options are a good thing. It allows Miles the ability to freelance from a set rotation more as he will be able to ride the hot hand. Last year we just had to have our shooters keep shooting, no matter how they were shooting that night. Now if a guy is off he can hopefully be replaced with someone who has it that night. We need to learn to be unselfish though and try to identify who those hot hands are each night. And ride them.
  16. Big key will be how crisp our rotations are off the double teams. This will be a big jump in post talent from what we have seen. We will almost certainly bring a lot of doubles, especially since they don't excel from distance. How well UMass passes out of the doubles and how are rotations are off the double will likely go a long way towards deciding the winner of this one.
  17. Mind boggling good play by UNO so far. This a club that cannot even go to dance for couple more years. How they are so good(yes small sample size) is amazing. They led most of the game at Iowa and barely lost to UNLV on the road as well. Those are schools I would have expected to hammer a team like UNO. And they are drubbing the weaker teams on schedule so far. It is a nice secondary school to be able to root for living in Omaha and having gone to grad school there.
  18. I don't think there is a home game we shouldn't be going into expecting a pretty sure loss.
  19. I think the early start time in empty arena is probably a benefit for us. Seems Umass is high energy team that is a bit careless at times if some scouting reports are correct? If so, they may have a little trouble creating energy at that hour in that environment. Games like this is where coaching is huge. Are they a well coached club? Obviously they are getting it done on the recruiting front.
  20. Definitely will with Gallegos coming back. I don't expect him to create much on his own now with guys that can drive and dish out to open him up on the perimeter. That alone should be good for at least 4 more assists a game. This. I am hopeful Rey gets a lot more clean looks this year with more guys that can get in to the paint to draw defense in.
  21. Damn. First loss of the year for the Big 10. Likely won't end up being a bad one. Bucknell usually pretty solid. Side not question. Not sure where to ask so I will here. UNO playing incredibly well in the early going. I pull for them being an Omaha guy that went to some post grad school there. When are they eligible to dance if they win their tourney?
  22. I think it is more that over time people become smarter. Especially with so much film easily dialed up. Whatever is being done is the way to win at this time IMO. I believe in efficient markets. And the coaches as a whole operate efficiently.
  23. I agree with everything you just said. I think we are talking about two different things. I am strictly talking about our production on the court. It would have made me just as happy doing this at the Bob. However, I am glad we have the new building as it will certainly help us get to the promised land.
