Found this to be interesting.

Our open guys don't normally shoot. Thats why you need to run an offense that gets shooters open not Benny, Tai and David Rivers. -
No interest in Atewe. I keep the line open for a big who can play right away. That being said, this can change depending on the mystery player that leaves.

Tai's shot got better when he started doing other things better and the shot wasnt on his mind. Tai was a lock down defender at times... and when he got minutes he added energy. Not a big shocker that Pitchford was that different. I think my biggest concern isnt guys hitting open shots, it is getting those guys open looks. Our offense doesnt seem to take advantage of spot shooters... -
I just dont think it will be TP. They mentioned something in there that i would be seriously curious about: Are any scholarship players able to go to walk on status in order to bring another guy in? I know Doug did it at Creighton(different situation) but would be curious. In order of likely hood: Petteway(even though i dont think he leaves, his makes the most sense) Fuller Hammond Pitchford(I dont think he is happy and they arent happy with him) Webster Parker Not sure what to think...

2017 PG Brad Davison -> Wisconsin
Minnesota_Husker replied to AuroranHusker's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Young looking kid, but he has played at a high level in multiple sports for the last 2 years... Kid is going to get some decent offers i bet... I think he stays in the state of MN. -

Good to hear.... how would you characterize his best traits? Great awareness. It is hard to tell because he is so young, but has great instincts. Smart and confident. -
Throw out the record books!

This place would get turned on its head if that somehow happened. -
2017 PG Brad Davison -> Wisconsin

He is from my hometown. Leading PG and QB at a 15 year old is very rare for MN. He lead MG far in football and they have an excellent young Basketball team. Been waiting to see if we would ever go after this kid.... -
Tai and Nick and a word of caution
Minnesota_Husker replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Miles seems to be the type of guy, that you earn your playing time in practice. Tai is up against Tarin Smith who is a better player overall for some minutes. Tai seems scared with the ball in his hands. We need to take a deep breath and know that with maturity, he will learn to handle the downs better. He shows moments where he moves fluidly and is an excellent dribbler, but then he gets cute and makes a mistake. I have faith that in a year Tai will start to get more steady minutes and will start to at least take advantage of his role. He will never be the superstar we all hoped for, but he will be decent--offer Benny type minutes and support off the bench. -
Nebraska isn't a good fit for Tai's skillset

Right about what? Miles isnt the reason Webster looks lost. Webster himself has admitted the game speed is faster than he expected. He might choose to transfer, but he wont do better at a power 5. -
Seems that the signing of Jack McVeigh might push out Keanu Pinder next yr... (shrugs) I would be ok with Pinder being pushed out in 2016.

Akoy Agau -> Louisville -> Georgetown
Minnesota_Husker replied to ajb5856's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
If we could get a guy like that, I would also prefer that... But i dont get the feeling that we can. I think they are just trying to get guys who can rebound the ball and defend down low. Not sure if it will translate well to the B1G, but I would rather have Akoy than have another wing or guard. -
So if we add Agau who is your most likely: going to leave guy. My guess is either Tai Webster or Nick Fuller. Unless is there a possibility one of them is a walkon? doubt it. EDIT: by walkon, i meant a guy giving up his schollie to be a walkon.

Does anyone hear that hissing sound?
Minnesota_Husker replied to president dead's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
As frustrating as this year hs been, I think it can actually be a good thing and a lesson learned situation. Everyone was telling us how good we were because of last year. Our leaders tried to do everything on their own. We lost two big parts of this team but no excuse for how bad we have played. At the end of the day, i love Petteway and Pitchford but they need to learn how to pass the ball and make players better around them.. Quit trying to score 100 points a game and trust the guys around you. At this point if TP and Pitch are both back next year, then some stuff will need to change. but adding Watson, Morrow, White, Maybe Agau and Jacobsen will add more talent but we lose a lot with our bigs leaving. -
I think that hype might have been our fault as a fan base... put a lot of pressure on an 18 year old shoulders.
-
Pitchford has been awful this year. He seems unfocused. Making horrible decisions and his shot has been awful. He has been very tough to watch.
-
Sad to hear that the crowd was full of blue hairs.... The team didnt seem to get behind the "no sit sunday" thing, so that didnt help. Hopefully they will try it again, but fans need to just cheer loud instead of playing the "give me something to cheer about". Last nights game as a whole was about as frustrating as they come.

Shavon continues to lead this team. Dude just works his butt off and makes great choices. -

I think Petteway and Pitch are our vocal leaders but Benny and Shields lead by play on the court. How often do we need something and one of those two gives it to us. Pitch and Petteway need to step up to the plate on the court. -

UNO has had open shots but they are proving why they are not a good team yet. Nebraska just needs to calm down and let UNO shoot themselves in the foot. Love me some Benny. Play smart here. -

Pretty simple n my mind.. Get a pick that isnt so high up and drive the lane. when UNO breaks down, you will have your threes. Right now Petteway is hurting this team with his rusty shot. -
Wouldnt it be weird to see a team storm the court after beating us? That being said.. i dont want to see it...
