2015 Walk-on Josh Lanasa. 6'6 PF

His Facebook profile says he studied at Michigan State and graduated in 2015-- might be an error...not sure. EDIT: This is on his Twitter: -
FAU Sophomore Transfer G Malcolm Laws is N

Maybe Carl Pelini met him at a party one night? If he party'ed with Carl, i highly doubt he would still be alive. -
Ade was a good player on a bad team. He played great and loved what he could do, but TP is a borderline NBA caliber player. Ade never was.. He is a decent overseas guy while TP would be a top guy overseas. Appreciate what AD did, but he doesnt hold a candle to TP.

Syracuse was also mentioned awhile back as an option. Could be off here but I believe most of his visits were/are out of courtesy/wanting to tell coaches certain things in person and/or to see the countryside. I've been told that this is a 2 horse race and that we are one of the horses. Us and Kansas? I think the staff thinks we have a legit chance because i dont see them looking for anyone else at the moment. Then again, they might just hold this schollie if they cant find anyone.

TP5 would go nicely with the past three #1 overall picks on the roster, wouldn't he? I would be happy if they drafted him in the second round. I doubt he does anything, but i love the work ethic and will to be successful. I think they should just trade for next years first so we can draft Benny. the wolves need a sparkplug!

You would think someone would have seen him in a boot or limping, or something.

Jacob Hammond reflects on first year with Cornhuskers
Minnesota_Husker replied to trickey's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
He said "and stuff" a lot.... HE LIKES STUFF! That being said, He will be a key member on this team whether he is ready or not. I hope he has school/sports figured out. It can be a lot to juggle. -
I am going to guess that Trevor Menke is the most talked about walk on player that never played more than 100 minutes in Nebrasketball history on this board. Great kid by the way. HOW DARE YOU FORGET MIKE FOX AND THE STACHE! *I just looked it up and he played 222 minutes his JR year--color me shocked.

Don't recall where I read this but he is the 'all time leader in dunks for his school' It was at the end of this Nebrasketball article in the LJS: http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/life-in-the-red/bielfeldt-chooses-hoosiers-nu-adds-walk-on/article_63b43d08-098a-11e5-811a-e32f300b9018.html That's certainly an interesting footnote, wonder how many schools in the Midwest have ever kept track of that sort of 'stat'? I am familiar with Eden Prairie.... I dont think he has had a ton of competition for people who have ups. -

Has some ups if you watch his hudl tape. Wont see the floor often, but his size and toughness can help make the guys work in practice. And happy to add a Minnesotan to the roster. -
Max Bielfeldt (Michigan 2015 Transfer)
Minnesota_Husker replied to gobigredbrah's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Kind of got the feeling it would be Indiana or ISU. I had some hope but once we went after Paschal as heavy as we did, i figured we saw the writing on the walls Bummer for short term but possibly better for long term. -
Agree, I have cross my fingers and toes. Me too, this kid would be a game changer. If he commits and everyone sticks around, 2016-17 Season would have five ESPN 100 players on it. That would be something that has not happened before. The late 80's early 90's had some stars, but what Miles has put together these last couple years has been jaw dropping amazing. If he could land this kid, I couldn't have drawn it up any better. Andrew White III Glynn Watson Ed Morrow Anton Gill "Paschal Chukwu" <-If he signs The previous two coaches would have maybe landed one of them. I'm going to go on a limb and say they couldn't of gotten Fuller, McVeigh and Webster either I'll go further out on the limb and say the previous two coaches would have not landed any of them. Those five would be a solid starting line up as well Glynn Watson - PG Anton Gill - SG Andrew White - SF Ed Morrow - PF Paschal Chukwu - C Man that looks good on paper

All the Indiana guys seem to think he is a Hooiser but who knows.. might just be "fan speak" Ha....you can probably find 20 different starting lineups on this site with Matthew Atewe as our starting center. I think he would probably back up Jahil Okafor in most scenarios... -

2015 PF Noah Dickerson -> Washington
Minnesota_Husker replied to hhcmatt's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
I don't know if Chukwu was a/the target all along but I'd agree the imaginative speculation in this thread definitely kept pace with the very clear indicators that Dickerson won't even make a visit here. I do think it's likely that Dickerson was a target (why wouldn't he be???) and that he passed on us for whatever reason. I can think of a lot of reasons, most of which would be the fact we dont have warm weather, beaches or the city life. Sadly, he doesnt realize what he is missing out on. Lincoln Nebraska is an amazing place. -
Miles extended through 2019-20
Minnesota_Husker replied to hhcmatt's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I know this is tongue-in-cheek post but I think we see another school paying us to buy out Miles before we have to pay Miles to leave. Unless next year is like this year. In which case I predict that there will be residents of this board complaining howling about extending his contract for no good reason where the cost of the buyout is going to be so huge, etc. etc. ad nauseum. Just in case.. Where is the best place to get my pitchfork sharpened?
