  1. “I like that I can walk behind him and not see the sun,’’ Miles told The World-Herald in an interview outside the league offices." Tim Miles has a way with words... now just get some wins so we can build you a statue you lovable nerd.
  2. Character should be one of the first things we recruit towards. Look at a guy like Terran Petteway. He loved his mom and while i think he might have ran in to some trouble at Texas Tech(cant remember) he had incredible work ethic and was a leader. Shavon Shields- Easily one of the best examples of a student athlete who had a high character. He is someone we all would want representing out university because of his class, intelligence and athletic skills. The one thing i can respect about how Miles recruits is he brings guys in who seems to act the right way and represent the university the right way.
  3. I don't think our offense was built to allow spot up shooters to be successful. I think with the addition of a guy like Jordy and progression of multiple scoring threats that can change. Ideally you would have guys who could attack the paint, collapse the defense and kick it out to fuller or McVeigh. I see McVeigh being more of a threat in this role than Fuller. I just don't think we will see meaningful minutes from Fuller for the rest of his career. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. NU busted through the glass ceiling; Huskers already has nearly an entire roster of top 150-type players. While I don't disagree with that, I just think he stays in Minnesota or goes to Wisconsin. If I go to any games, I'll make sure to wear Nebraska stuff.
  5. I think this kid would be a tough get for us but he is becoming a big time player. I hope to hit up a couple maple grove games this year just to watch him play Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. This right here...and if somehow he can progress as well as Jacobsen did during his freshman year then we're gonna be cooking with Crisco for sure. This. MJ will start the 5, Morrow the 4. I can see Morrow getting a breather and Jake sliding to the 4. Jake or Jack? Jake Hammond is gone. I assume you meant Jack McVeigh? And that is the nice thing about some of these guys like McVeigh, Fuller and even White. They can play some 4 if we decide to go small or athletic. The biggest issue was last year when we only could go with them at those positions. Depth will be our friend this year... imagine when we can run a lineup of: Webster- 6'4 White- 6'7 McVeigh- 6'8 Jacobson- 6'8 Jordy- 7'0 Talk about size/height and yet still high levels of athleticism
  7. I just want to thank Jordy for making this place so damn fun today. If he picks UNLV, this place is going to be sad and angry with no hope. By picking Nebraska, we are basically all running around high fiving eachother... I am damn near giddy.
  8. This right here...and if somehow he can progress as well as Jacobsen did during his freshman year then we're gonna be cooking with Crisco for sure. THIS Lets not put too much pressure on the kid. Let him come in and earn his playing time. I was being VERY hopeful expecting him to start day 1 of B1G play but even then i think he splits minutes with Jacobson. I dont care if you are 7'0, the B1G centers are no joke and they are STRONG... they will move him around till we get at least a year or two in the weight room.
  9. Well, we have a spot open regardless if White stays or goes, so we better have feelers out for that spot.
  10. According to most, Fuller wont see the court... Not sure if I buy that. Here is how I see it: Game 1 1- Watson/Gill 2. Webster/Gill/Roby 3. White/ McVeigh/Roby 4. Morrow/Fuller/Horne 5. Jacobson/Jordy B1G Ten opener 1- Watson/Webster 2- Gill/Webster 3- White/Roby/McVeigh 4- Morrow/Horne/Fuller 5- Jordy/Jacobson/Morrow NCAA Tourney Game 1 1- Watson/Webster 2-Gill/Roby 3-White/McVeigh 4-Morrow/Horne 5- Jordy/Jacobson
  11. Sounds about right to me. I would be surprised if he comes in and starts for us. I expect Jacobson to be our starting center. But I would expect to see Jordy getting 15+MPG from day 1. I'd be concerned if he wasn't. Miles has proven time and time again that you have to earn your minutes. They are going to make sure Jordy has the cardio to play and can play smart. I hope he picks it up quickly so Jacobson can play some 4.
  12. White is on the record as saying it is either NBA or Nebraska. Doesnt sound like Grad transfer or Europe are an option... He could just be blowing smoke though. In order to be a eligible "un-drafted free agent" he would have to enter in to the draft and not be drafted to then get an invite to a camp.
  13. All three. Rivals has elevated Jordy in the top 150. So has Scout. And, FWIW, he's in Norm's top 150 too. Really? I did not know that. THERE YOU GO NORM, MAKING ME A BETTER POSTER!
  14. I am giddy with Jordy signing on. I know we still have to wait on Andrew White, but lets just pretend he comes back. What to you think the starting lineup looks game 1/Big Ten opener/last game of the season. How do you think minutes get dished out? We obviously have a lot of talented guys and finally have a chance to play guys at their natural positions.....
  15. And we still have one open scholarship as well. 3 guys in this years class were top 200 players, two of which were top 150.
  16. At this point I would focus on another guy who can play the 5 or a true PG to backup Glynn. We are fine at the other positions unless White doesnt come back. I want someone who can split minutes with Jordy at the 5 so Jacobson, Morrow can play strictly at the 4.
  17. I dont believe he will. But i do believe he will be starting by B1G play.
  18. Having a true 5 will be nice for a change, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. Jordy is 18 years old and there will be a learning curve. In an Ideal world, we will find a Grad Transfer who can also play the 5 so that Jordy and the grad transfer can split minutes early on. This allows Morrow/Jacobson and Horne to play the 4. We can keep guys like Roby, White, and McVeigh at the 3. It allows for guys to play closer to their true positions.\ Even with the addition of Jordy, we still lack depth at the 5.

  22. I agree to a point. Lots of pressure on Jordy and expectations. He has a bit more size than Hammond. This reminds me a bit of when Tai came here. Took tai a few seasons to figure it out.
  23. When i first heard about that I was pretty sold that AW would be back. I think he will be back and hopefully with some areas he needs to improve so he can be drafted next year.
  24. Johnny Stanton is already a big fan of Hammonds new school: He was sad when he found out that he couldnt be the permanent mascot though.
