  1. I think the kid is just soft spoken. I read the Washut article and the one from his visit to Georgia, and he didn't rave in either of them. He also said he might take one more visit to K-State before making his decision but he also might not. That makes me think we are not out of the picture at all.

  2. Yeah, I was there tonight and just got back home in Omaha. The team seemed pretty disinterested by the later innings. Sitting back in the dugout and not much into the game...no chatter or encouragement. The Huskers were meek kittens tonight. The Gophers had some swagger. I hope DE gives them hell tonight and/or tomorrow...They sure need a fire lit under them... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-I0c22XegNU

  3. One thing about baseball is that you WILL go cold sometime throughout a season! Its a given. Now its how you respond to going cold that is the most important thing. Let's hope we break out of our funk soon and get back into stride. I would rather go into a funk now than later on though.

  5. Gozer the Traveller, he will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldronaii, the Traveller came as a large and moving Torb! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex Supplicants they chose a new form for him... that of a Giant Sloar! many Shubs and Zulls knew what it was to be Creaned in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you.

    2015 C Mike Edwards

Taking a swing, missing, and striking out is 100 times better than watching a pitch go by for a called strike 3.

  7. The first thing they need to address is, how can you eliminate all the negativity that seems to surround the sport. It's that loud uneducated voice and you hear it all the time. Can't imagine what it would be like if there wasn't a thing called political correctness. It happens every where and it's almost always someone with a podium who hasn't watched a game for many years but yet has an opinion that was formed some 40+ years ago. And it's not just the males that spew it, females are just as guilty. The Ticket here in Lincoln is one of the worst. Adrian Fiala said just a couple months ago "that women who played women's college basketball 10 years ago couldn't even dribble, it's come a long way since then but it's still hard to watch". The girl on the same station who does 4 downs said she can't stand to watch women's basketball just last week. I would question either one of those two just exactly when did you last see a women's college basketball game. Both would most likely answer "they can't remember" but yet, both felt it necessary to comment on it negatively. Seriously doubt though the stigma of "it's girl's playing basketball" will ever go away. But if they could some how diminish that view it sure would help.

Heh. "The banks of the Passaic River were stained red that day! As the airliners landing at Newark airport hovered breathlessly in the smoggy sky above the Meadowlands, it seemed the coxswain's voice could be heard as far away as Secaucus..."
