  1. Of course there is more to basketball than athletic ability but this year's group is the most athletic in testing in the history if the draft combine. Cody Zeller's numbers crushes what Dwight Howard put up at the.combine. I think there are some people in this year's group that are going to surprise a lot of people.

If Silverback just removes his shirt, you can recognize him by the hair.

  3. Josh cunningham was the only guy listed above that he was the first in on and now JC doesnt even list NU as having offered him. True, but I'm pretty sure Miles was one of the first to offer Myles Turner. Also, some of Nebraska's recruits might have had an offer or two when Nebraska came to the party, but there have been multiple cases where a recruit's offer list isn't overly impressive, but after Nebraska has been on them for awhile, they start to blow up with some impressive offers. And hasn't only happened with high school players. Most people weren't very impressed with Sai Tummala's offer list when Nebraska offered him, but he started to blow up towards the end of his recruitment. That's what I was getting at. We've offered several that at the time of the NU offering had offers from Kennesaw State, Toledo, and Tennessee Tech. Then as soon as Miles joins the party, the high major offers start rolling in.

  4. Norm heres our chance to find out tomorrow where Fleming gets ranked, hopefully. Edit: looks like they only did the top 50 for 2015 so it wont be known yet.

  5. Hopefully a Husker Hoops matchup will appear on BTN this summer (such as the remarkable turn-around in the 2nd half of the Iowa game in Lincoln). From what I've gathered, it seems like most of the games shown so far have been between the top tier teams with significant drama highlighted... maybe next summer NU will be in the mix for quality replays for finally conquering that NCAA tourney victory drought!

  6. Well, since we're pimping here, if anyone is in Lincoln this Sunday, come see me at Capital Patio, 5500 Old Cheney from 10 am to 2 pm. I'll be giving away samples of burgers, hot dogs, steaks and some of our Patriot Jerky! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIh8nMJNV0M

  7. I hope we keep on him. Out of all the PG's we are in on right now I think Nick is my favorite.

  9. I'm gathering he dunks left handed because of the lawnmower accident mentioned by ajb above in which Nick lost the tips of 3 fingers on his right hand. Might not be able to get a solid grip on the ball with his right hand for that reason. But, apparently, the kid can still stroke it. Like seeing a kid who rises up from adversity. He's going to want it and not take things for granted like a kid who maybe didn't have to work as hard to be good. That story alone makes me like this kid all the more. Just be very careful around lawn mowers. Yikes. http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/preps/basketball/story/2012-02-13/Pike-guard-recovers-from-mower-accident/53080548/1
