Watson is really polished on the offensive end.  A few things for him to work on.  His shot needs arc as we have said many times.  Also, needs to learn the defensive end.  Far too many times he has been blown by.  Luckily, SE Louisiana struggles to make shots down low.

I think its safe to say ALL will get PT tonight

As long as we don't give up that 22 - 0 run again.

I don't think that will happen tonight.

I'm starting to wonder if they are going to score 22 points, for the game.

I like the offensive push that we're having. I just would have liked to see this against Villanova as well though.

This... I know there is a chance we can take some lumps, but I think this team is built to push the tempo.

Just wait for our inevitable scoring drought...

Just going to say, we will have so much more success this year with our scoring options that we have.  When you have multiple guys who can score, we can avoid those long scoring droughts.  (I say this with the last few games in mind) but I believe that that is just a confidence thing, not an ability thing.  I think our confidence as a team is way up this year.

Gave him to much momentum going into half.  LOL

Great half, though

Webster with 11 points and 5 rebounds

Parker with 8 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists

Watson with 9 points

SE Louisiana shot 25.9% from the floor, and 0 - 10 from 3.

Take this at surface level considering the level of competition, our lack of experience, and being so early in the season, but...

The way we're shooting and moving the ball, we have the look and feel of a March team that has their act together. Before Miles' team in 2013, it was hard to trust that we could put the ball in someone's hands and he'll make it. In terms of offensive performance, we're looking more like 2013 than most of our other teams. Let's hope that trend continues.

And maybe to add on to that, it might have a lot to do with us having more offensive threats. We struggled so much last year because all the opponent had to do was shut down either Shields or Petteway and all of a sudden they control the game.

I've been watching Hammond, and he seems to have some game.  Some nice low post moves, good getting position for rebounds, good leaping ability.  I think he's going to be a decent player.  Maybe a Ubel type by the time he's a senior.  Still has to gain strength to go against the better post players in the Big 10.
