Walt is struggling. Tai is Tai....why do people say Tai needs to play better? He hasn't showed anything to lead me believe he is better than what he's showing. It's unfortunate we are so thin because we are forced to play him.

Shields and Petteway can score 20 each per game, but we still aren't going to be very good unless Pitchford and Tai play better.

 

We have a better chance to win if Shields scores 20 because he is much more efficient.  Before this game Shields was avg. 1.82 points per shot.  If he did that tonight, he scores 18 and we win by 1 (I realize the game is different if he scores 18).  Petteway was avg. 1.31 points per shot.  He would have had 26.

Also...even as a second round draft pick. What team would want Petteway? I'll be happy if he's around senior year but his game would not cut it in the NBA

I'm a huge Miles fan so tonight was really disappointing. We got outplayed and outcoached. We had a week to prepare for CU and offensively we looked lost. There was no flow. No real adjustments coming out of the half.  We lacked energy and focus after the about the 5 minute mark. Unfortunately I think this team is starting to look too often to Pettaway and not playing team oriented ball like they did down the stretch last year.

 

I was really disappointed in our effort tonight. But frankly we have looked this way so far this year.  I believe Miles is a good coach so I think he'll get it figured out but right now we are not a very good basketball team.

I actually had a last minute opportunity to go to the game tonight.  I thought the crowd was waiting on the team to give them something to cheer about, but the bluejays kept hitting shots to keep the crowd in check.  Crowd wasn't bad, but not great.  Loved the fans leaving early getting booed.  I think we had a chance to put them away in the first half but once we got up big started taking stupid shots.  Give the bluejays credit they shot the 3 ball well tonight.  I haven't looked at the stats but I wouldn't be suprised if they took more 3 shots than 2.  I would have rather lost to Incarnate Word on Wed than the bluejays but it is what it is.  Almost used to losing to the blujays now.  Kind of like Husker football blow outs.  Sad, sad, sad.
