When does Smith get the start?

It's really tough to say.  Benny provides a nice spark off the bench but with the way our starts have been going it may be better just to have him start and see how it goes.  Tai is still struggling on the court and it shows...I wouldn't mind see Tarin eat up some of his minutes to see what he can do.  Tarin appears to be someone who can create shots for other players on the floor, we have not seen that from Tai since he has been in Lincoln.

Nope, just calling it like I see it! I try to watch the games without big red glasses on.     Tai needs to play for us, but I'm not opposed to limiting his minutes some in favor of Tarin.  I'm sure Miles will make the right call if Tarin deserves it.

Starters need to be pushed...and when those who are pushing, become more productive than those being pushed...then something must happen.  My read is that the coaches still believe in Tai and want him on the floor as a starter.  I have a pretty good understanding of the game, yet I am not a member of the coaching staff...so my vote doesn't count.  Tai is on the floor for now as a starter, I will support that.  As mentioned in previous threads, I really like Benny coming off the bench.  I believe he brings that instant energy that a good sixth man brings...

Tarin smith has played 47 minutes of game action in a husker jersey. that's less than a full NBA game.

 

Not sure i'm ready to say he's our best option. He looks good though, but it's way too early.
