It may not be home and home.  Hopefully that is the case.  Would hate to see a game at CenturyLink and UN-O has a ticket give away and 18K plus fans show up.  Of course nothing says the majority  would be UN-O fans.

Are there even 18,000 UNO fans? :)

There is if you add all the crayton fans to the uno fan numbers.

Miles saying scheduling UN-O down the road, nothing for certain when.  I'd like to see a couple more recruiting classes, like the last, under our belt before we go at them again.

In all fairness UN-O win over Marquette was a big one, but Marquette under-achieved last season and have a new coach this season.  Barely won over a no- name east coast team last night.

What real reason do we have to play UNO on a yearly basis? Pump up our RPI? Draw a few more fans into the arena to fill some seats? Give our players more experience playing in a pressure filled atmosphere? I doubt Miles checked yes to any of these possibilities.

Donation to keep a sister schools athletic department afloat?

Playing UNO means we can NOT play a team like Central Arkansas or Arkansas Pine Bluff. Better RPI opponent, I suspect cheaper payout for the game, and a lot more local interest. I am interested, for example, to see how Treshawn Thurmann stacks up athletically against our guys. I thought he had what it took to play at NU; now I'll get to see it.

Creighton won't play them and I don't get it.

Too busy putting ads into Omaha sports writers' articles about playing us twice? Bada-boom.

On a more serious note, playing UNO at home is the opposite of playing Rhode Island on the road....no media/recruiting exposure, no real guarantee of a win, and a loss hurts you more than a win helps you for RPI.  Essentially, you need to have faith in your team to schedule this game.  We had that before the season with this team and we'll find out tonight how right we were.

When people were calling Rhode Island "not a bad loss" it's because winning on the road against what should be a decent team helps us more than it hurts us.  If Rhody tanks the rest of the year then it's definitely a bad loss.

Yeah I think we need to play both UNO and Creighton every year. It gives a better game than some of the teams we do play and we know that they will be competitive every time.

Would rather have a team that wants to be here than one who is here for the check. I know we need a couple just for the chck games but they some times are real klunkers and not good for any body.

Let's have a Holiday tournament with Nebraska, Creighton, UNO AND Beatrice - on the Orangemen's home court...

How 'bout Peru State or Midland Univ. in lieu of SECC?!? ;)

I would prefer to see UNK
