GATA Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 According to Tarin Smith's AAU coach, we're showing serious interest in teammate Markis McDuffie, who is a 6-6 wing and Rivals' No. 142-ranked player. http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/mens-basketball/nu-point-guard-recruit-smart-consistent-and-ready/article_1ffdd2fa-c4bf-5a1b-9215-8ca9bb287443.html Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 He's a very talented player. With Pinder already and then pursuing Morrow I can't see them being big contenders unless they miss out on others or move on from others. Quote
Section_316 Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 I'm starting to think Pinder may never actually show up. No proof just a hunch Bangarang 1 Quote
FredsSlacks Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 I'm starting to think Pinder may never actually show up. No proof just a hunch I disagree. He's 6'8 and and can jump out of the gym. He still has another year to develop. He should be able to play right away. i wouldn't be surprised to see us add McDuffie and Morrow. Wing players seem to thrive in Miles Offense. hhcmatt 1 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 While looking for film on Smith, I saw the McDuffie kid and thought he looked like a pretty good player. Not surprised he's ranked in Rivals. Hope the interest is mutual. Quote
lanigan123 Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 I really wonder about Pinder's academic situation or how they feel they stand with Morrow. I think Morrow is a 4. Quote
gobigredbrah Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 I really wonder about Pinder's academic situation or how they feel they stand with Morrow. I think Morrow is a 4.Morrow's a little too small to be a 4 since he's 6'6 Quote
HuskerCager Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 I really wonder about Pinder's academic situation or how they feel they stand with Morrow. I think Morrow is a 4. If nothing else, look at our history with early commits. There was Roburt Sallie, the McNeal kid from Arkansas, who else am I missing? All are different circumstances, but verbally committing a couple of years ahead of time should be taken with a grain of salt. Unless there is a very strong connection between the program and the recruit. I wouldn't be surprised at all either to eventually hear of a de-commit. Quote
lanigan123 Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 He is a PF, he is listed at 6'7". I don't think he is a 3. Quote
Section_316 Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 Morrow is an athletic 4 imo as well... Quote

hhcmatt Posted October 26, 2014 Report Posted October 26, 2014 He picked Witchita State Wow...thought he would be an East Coast kid. Quote
Huskerpapa Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 Wichita State has a good class... McDuffie is the fourth member of the Shockers’ class of 2015, joining Hargrave Military (Va.) point guard Tyrone Taylor, Park Hill (Mo.) shooting guard Landry Shamet and Sunrise Christian (Ga.) forward Eric Hamilton. Huskerpapa Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 I believe two of his finalist were Rutgers and Maryland. Thankfully we won't have to face McDuffie until the second or third round of the NCAA tournament. Quote
