I truly believe tonight was a wake up call. We are a better team than either NW or Indiana, and I think we will refocus after tonight and come out angry on Saturday. We'll then take on an IU team that has packed it in for the season. That will setup a showdown with Wisconsin, at home, where the crowd will carry us to victory. Tonight was painful, but it will make us stronger in the long run.

I'd rather lose tonight than at Indiana.

A. We can "get right" with a banged up and not particularly good NW team at home.

B. That will give us more confidence as we head into the last week than losing at Indiana then having to come home versus #8 or #9 at home.

C. For the "bubble," I feel like it's better to lose earlier and finish on another winning streak.

You were not watching the emotion of the Indiana players on the road against NW if you think they packed it in for the season.  They have certainly not done that.  Programs like Indiana do not do that.

They have two home games before us.  If they can figure out how to beat Iowa and Ohio St they're going to be buzzsaw.

I saw them against Purdue and Wisconsin. They just don't look like at team hungry to win.

Seemed they were very engaged against Wisconsin.  They are young and have not played too well on the road.  That is much different than mailing it in.  I could be wrong, but they certainly have not shown me that side.  Losing does not mean you are mailing it in.  Not this year in this league.

Here is the problem...as an optimist, I believe we can win four or five in a row again and make the dance...and actually win there.  As a pessimist, I can see us going into a funk right now.

Our fans have to come out and pump our team back up...they were deflated with this loss.  Let's provide this team with an energy boost!

Northwestern is the key.  It's a winnable game against an inferior foe at home.

If we lose that, the glass is more than half empty.

I'm expecting nothing less than another 20 point win on Saturday. I think Miles gets the ship righted, gets the team refocused. We need to forget about the disaster of last night, cruise through Northwestern, get our confidence back, and it's on to Indiana.

Another 20 point win? When was the last one?
