PimpMario Posted February 22, 2014 Report Posted February 22, 2014 Well, since there doesn't seem to be any Purdue threads I thought I would get us started. I watched the game but don't remember a lot other than how we were in it. I have heard some say they are one of our toughest remaining games because we don't match up inside with them. Anyway, educate me about them and what to look for tomorrow. How do you think we matchup? What are our keys to victory? What do you think our chances are? Quote
Cookie Belcher Posted February 22, 2014 Report Posted February 22, 2014 Their freshman Stephens made some ridiculous 3s and Hammond is tough inside. Have some good guards as well. More talent than their record indicates IMO. Quote
PimpMario Posted February 22, 2014 Author Report Posted February 22, 2014 More talent than their record indicates IMO. Feels like that is true of every single team in the B1G except us. Quote

lanigan123 Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 Hammonds is the guy we have to deal with. They are a tough squad. We need guys to make jump shots tomorrow imho. Walter really needs to make HAmmond move. I think we will see a lot of walter pulling HAmmonds out of the paint. Quote
49r Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 Is A.J. Hammons more of a load than Adreian Payne though? I mean, it's not like we haven't been able to shut down a big man before... Quote
Shuttlesworth Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 Is A.J. Hammons more of a load than Adreian Payne though? Offensively? No. Defensively? Yes. Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 All this depends on if A.J. shows up or not. Not many players are as hot and cold as he is. Quote

cozrulz Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 This game worries me. 4 game win streak coming up against a bad matchup. The Huskers should be ok with the game being at home but it may be more interesting than we want. Quote

royalfan Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 They don't do anything especially well. Hammonds is a talented but underachieving type. Not a winning type player. Guards are not tremendously quick or athletic. Not a terribly deadly shooting bunch. Not tremendously quick or athletic either. Nothing to hang their hat on. 2nd worst team in the leaugue IMO. However, they are still decent, as is every team in the league. And they are more than capable of beating us. Quote
TomEadesSucks Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 Play like we have been and we'll win. We have more talent, work harder, and are better coached. Quote
hhcmatt Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 They haven't done well on the road in the B1G this year Quote
