I propose a game called "Scheduleball" after the Espn article. If you were Tim Miles and you could schedule any one to come in who would it be and why? My Schedule 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. Rules. 1. RPI RULE: The total RPI Score cannot exceed 90 and must not be below 225. 2. 20 WIN RULE: You must attempt to schedule teams that will allow you to achieve a 20 win season. 3. 2 YEAR RULE: A home and home series must be scheduled and a minimum of 2 years are required. 4. 1/2&1/2 RULE: 50% of the game must be playe at home, 50% on the road. 5. RECRUTING RULE: When you play road games, they must also double as recuiting oppetuinties. 6. PAY YOUR BILLS RULE: Home games must draw crowds and achieve 20 wins at the same time. 7. +14 RULE: You can schedule more the 14 games if NCAA allows, but you must follow the half & half rule, the 2 year rule and the 20 win rule 8. TORUNEMENT RULE: Tournement games follow the NCAA rules. 9. EXIBITION RULE: Exibition games do not count 10. DiSCLOSER RULE: You must explain why you made the choices you made them. 11. GRADES: Grades will be given for each rule on how well you followed rules 1 - 9. You will recive a grade of 1 -10, 10 being highest 1 being lowest for each rule, with a total score of 90 being the highest score possible. A. We play in the toughtest confrence in college basketball and have one of the toughtest schedules in the country every year. In order to make tournement play we must be prudient with our scheduleing. We have only the big dance 1 time with an RPI over 90 and no team has ever made a tournemt with a RPI highter then 225. 2. 20 WIN RULE: You must attempt to schedule teams that will allow you to achieve a 20 win season. Big programs like Duke have traditionally followed this model. In order to achieve stability 20 wins, is the minimum 3. 2 YEAR RULE: A home and home series must be scheduled and a minimum of 2 years are required. You have to give someting to get something. You just built a new arena and practice facility you must fill it every home game, the game must be competitive. no automatic wins, no automatic losses. 7. +14 RULE: You can schedule more the 14 games if NCAA allows, but you must follow the half & half rule, the 2 year rule and the 20 win rule. other teams play more then 14 games, I am not sure why or how that is but if you can justify it you can add it. 8. TORUNEMENT RULE: Tournament games follow the NCAA rules. I am not sure of the rules of how torunaments count for or agains you. I have read that there are excetpions here in order to get teams to participate. I differ to the NCAA on this. What ever the rule is with the NCAA is the rule. 9. EXIBITION RULE: Exibition games do not count. As in real basketball the games don't count. this can be good for you if you schedule more then one it can be used to help you team gel. Just because it dosen't count dosen't mean it dosen't matter. 10. DiSCLOSER RULE: You must explain why you made the choices you made them. The purpose of this game is to see how you make decisions and why. You must explain yourself. A. Why the requirement to schedule equal numbers of home and away games? Not sure I agree that should be a requirement. Quote

I think this is a great match up, in a great basketball region of the world against a tradition rich program. Not South Florida? Why the requirement to schedule equal numbers of home and away games? Not sure I agree that should be a requirement. it was primarily for simplicity, the rules are flexable and can change. but if all things were equal it would be 7 home, 7 away. We'll try it this way for now. I look foreward to seeing your schedule. Quote

Probably on the tougher side when you add in conference play, but definitely a lot of oppourtunity for wins I believe. I could go to this game. 2 of my favorite teams. 8. Lehigh- Home 9. Texas- Road 10. Colorado St- Home I like this match up espically for a home game first. 11. San Diego- Road 12 Creighton-Home 13.
