Oregon and Washington were already difficult games and without Prince it’s that much more difficult.

Markowski scores 28.. about  half of your teams total points... and where are your forwards and guards ?  Nobody can win with that formula.  Just a bit short scoring as a team.   

Markowski is tough inside. A career high 28 pts and they fouled her on most plays.

 

Actually played hard at an away game against a good team. Nice guard play by Ill.  Got homered at times.....

Honestly, we did well to get a split out of this road trip.  That said, we played well enough in the 1st half to be in game, but we needed to play better in the 2nd half in order to pull off the upset.  Illinois' play was a ways better in the first five or six minutes of the 2nd, and NU just wasn't able to get enough stops from there on out to even it up or get ahead.  Now to find out the status of Prince's injury. GBR!

Yeah as others noted we just needed production from other areas besides Markowski. The driving to the basket didn't work for us like it did against Maryland and we didn't try a whole lot to attack the basket with our guards.  They were obviously quicker overall.

Same refs that hosed us against Michigan and let the opponent hack us like it is nothing. That guy ref is something else.  They called it one way in the first half and then called it a different way in the 2nd half. 

 

Hargrove made some silly plays at the wrong time yesterday. We would be getting the momentum and then she would do something. 

 

I still think between Hargrove Bozan and Petrie dont understand the inside out game. So many times yesterday they would get thrown the ball in the post and not have great position. Instead of throwing it back out and getting into better position they just try to make something out of nothing and it would go no where. Its like if you throw them the ball dont expect it to come back out at all.
