HHCC Standings - End of Week 01

Well, I'm already slacking on Week 1. Self-inflicted expectations. I usually try to get these updates out each Monday (the official start of a new week for NCAA basketball and also when new rankings come out). I'll set some reminders and get back on track!

 

It's great to see a new season kick off. But it's also started with some ups and downs. Good opening game and, more than anything, a questionable second game. Which team will show up this season? Time will tell.

I'm missing from the leaderboard, unless my missed first game disqualifies me from the board. I don't see anything in the rules to that effect...

Granted, I would be in the basement with 68+(66+25)=159 points, but nowhere to go but up!

Odd. Good catch. I have exactly what you mention in my records, but must have been a bad copy/paste. It pasted the first 53 scores but not the 57 total.

 

You also might not have checked the fine print in the rules:

* If Noah121 misses a prediction for the first game of the season, that participant is automatically disqualified. However, if Noah121 protests the leaderboard standings and provides the exact appropriate score, that participant is reactivated into the leaderboard standings.

I was wondering how I was dead last when I only missed the actual score by a total of 6 points...then noticed I mixed up the names on my prediction.

 

People must've thought I was on crack predicting 10 non-con wins (and 23 overall) AFTER a 14 point opening loss to UTRGV.  

 

I would like to apologize to everyone who forgot to predict the first game because my error inadvertently added 30 points to your score. My bad!

You were just thinking that we'd lose that first game and get a new OC to take over for the remainder of the year.  Totally plausible.
