Colorado has been getting their heads pumped full of all kinds of "How Great Thou Art" these last few days.  It'll continue for the rest of the week.  We'll see how it pans out Saturday morning.

This was a Riley/Frost & Miles question back in the day!  Now it’s a Rhule/Hoiberg.  Simply amazing.

Wisconsin got absolutely embarrassed by Northwestern today. That means we should be anticipating Wisconsin playing their best football in years next week.

I have been watching this team for a lotttt of years.  This offense is inept.  Is it the play calls?  The players? The scheme?  Is it in their heads?  Is it the preparation?  Is it a thousand other possibilities?  Probably all of the above and then some. 

We can run a couple good plays in a row and then simply disintegrate. Unbelievable!!!  We have zero identity.  We can not find separation with our receiving corp.  We throw to the wrong uniform colors.  This simply is impossible to comprehend.  

 

I am just a tad steamed!

The sky isn't falling, people. We've held our opponents to 298.3 average yards and 18.78 points. We have some incredible stats we haven't seen since Pelini.

 

The problem....the offense. If we don't give up 12 fumbles and 10 interceptions (dead last in NCAA D1) and score more than 20 points a game then we're 8-2. Even so, scoring 14+ would make us 7-3 on the season.

 

Don't look at this as a same-ol same-ol. I know it's discouraging. But this is a very different team than what we've seen from the past decade.

 

Defense:

#23 avg points given up

#15 avg total yards given up

 

Team:

#31 average penalty yards committed

#128 turnover margin

 

Offense:

#113 avg total yards earned

#115 avg points scored

* #130 turnovers given up

 

* There are 130 teams on the NCAA stats sheet.

We are terribly young.  We have 18 Freshmen and Sophomores on our 2 deep.  I am not as ready as most to can Satterfield.  It's gotta be tough when the defense knows all you can do is run the ball.

Meanwhile, we are 3 possessions away from 8-2.

0 (actually had a game when we didn't turn the ball over) 1-0

1: 1-1

2: 1-0

3: 1-1

4: 1-2

5: 0-1

 

We are probably fortunate to have 5 wins.

Sanders got hurt somewhere around 28-7, so I wouldn't necessarily pin a blowout loss on them missing Sanders.
I'm not, but the score nay been a little better 4 Colorado.
