Handy Johnson Posted June 5, 2018 Report Posted June 5, 2018 I'm curious to know who those other schools might have been, sure there will be lots of rumors/innuendo floating about the inter web. AND how in the hell did Hebron get the Cattleman's Ball and not Superior? HB 1 Quote

colhusker Posted June 6, 2018 Report Posted June 6, 2018 You know why cattlemen have bigger balls than ranchers? They sell more tickets. Norm Peterson 1 Quote

I think they find host farms in different parts of the state so it's not only just in the east, or just in the north, or whatever. The event was held on an acreage outside of Hebron. If the host couple had owned land a couple of miles north the event town would have been Bruning. Handy Johnson 1 Quote

Superior was a class B "Powerhouse" when I graduated, now they play 8 man Football. And oh BTW, the Boys have NEVER made the State Basketball tournament. I wanted to run out on that Devaney court just once... Edited June 6, 2018 by Handy Johnson Quote

It was but the whole town got involved between the setting up and the windmills they sold and donations for different stuff. Was really a neat deal even though I didn't attend. My old boss erv (if you know the area, you'll know who it was) had people out there helping for sure and we werent alone. hhcmatt 1 Quote

You are correct, they have an old Surry (sp?) with a life size cut out of Johnny Carson riding in it. Actually, for a County museum it is rather interesting, and Ive certainly seen worse. Quote
