 If there's a shot clock violation, isn't there supposed to be a stoppage of play? There was still 1 second+ left on the clock, enough time for a Jack McVeigh special!

I don't know, I have a vague recollection that there used to be rules in basketball, but I think everything is just a matter of the opinion of each individual official at any given moment.
