Got a lot of playing time this year. They only have one guy signed so far for next year, although it's a 5-star combo guy. Running away from competition maybe?

Why not? I remember the big 12 had that 2 year out rule, but I don't believe the big 10 does. Or is Underwood just restricting him? Does Illinois still play mizzou in the non con every year?  They had that thing in stl every year for a while.

No restrictions by Illinois.

Big 10 has the 2 year transfer rule. Little chance he's coming here unless it's as a grad transfer

Looks like Mark Smith had a bunch of high level interest, like Michigan St. and Kentucky, before committing to Illinois. 

Will schools like Kentucky continue to have the same level of interest in him with stats like .337 from the floor and .232 from three overall, diminishing during conference to .286 from the floor and .185 from three?  Perhaps there was an injury?
