  1. I think that was due to a 12 mo. time-frame to complete the process.....
  2. Cepeda was originally more of the revered superstar for the Giants than Willie Mays at its outset, which is a remarkable occurrence in and of itself. And, both Giants of the Game passed away within 10 days of each other.
  3. Orlando Cepeda passed away yesterday at the age of 86. He was an 11-time All-Star player in his 17 big league baseball seasons.
  4. First career MLB win for the O's Cade Povich, who threw five inn. as Baltimore won 6-5 over Texas. Pro Big Red!
  5. I like the expectation. Time to live up to it. GBR
  6. Hoop deserves to be honored. WTG Jordan! GBR
  7. Not only was he recruited by Osborne, he was in fall camp with the Huskers, when he decided to be a two-way star at Kearney State College, not unlike Tom Osborne did at Hastings College... it's an interesting plot twist.
  8. Both played in the state of Nebraska. And, yes, both are special people. Proud to be from Aurora, NE!
  9. Hoiberg & Co. have finally found their groove in the past few cycles after a lot of swing & miss in the Abdelmass(ih)acre.
  10. Both the Husker women and men will be playing in Sioux Falls in 2024, and on back-to-back days: Nov. 16th and 17th.
  11. I'd be very, very surprised if a team were to draft Tominaga.
  12. A nearly 8' long Gator..... sounds about right.
  13. That is definitely interesting, it must mean that some of NU's additional exhibitions will not take place at PBA.
  14. How many games is that for the NU women?
  15. Didn't even get to a first football season before the first "Fire Alberts!" thread. lol.
  16. I noticed the facility fee is $17.00, so that indicates 17 basketball contests (exhibitions+games) will be played at PBA in 2024-25.
  17. Maybe they could hire Rob Childress, again. . .
  18. Agreed. It's B1G Business.
  19. That's certainly possible. Troy Dannen is his name. He's a nice fellow, I met him on his 1st day on the job while in Memphis for March Madness. I hope it works out well, for all parties. I'm not happy at Trev but I clearly don't hate the guy, either. It was a business decision, I'm sure.
  20. Ironically Trev didn't get a raise at all. He got a shorter deal, in fact. This move was about Trev not liking the potential new President, Jeffrey Gold, yet I will confess that is strictly my opinion.
  21. It will be paid tickets, undoubtedly.
  22. I think two additional exhibitions will be made available to view, if I'm understanding the new rules on that.
  23. So, the NU schedule can't be too far off from being done. They'd just need to know how many home games, tbh...
  24. Teams 12 to 18 would amount to 7 teams. So, 11th out of 18 is a whole heckuva lot better than 11th out of 12.
