Have we had 6 in double figures before this year? I'm too lazy to look it up. Sounds like this was a team effort or lack of it throughout the game, so hopefully a lesson was learned... (Matt answered my question in another thread. Last time with 6 was last year.-Let's shoot for a seven when Mast returns.)

In other words, the lesson college should teach young adults is that once an opponent is beaten, he should be pummeled until unconscious and then kicked in the groin for good measure.

Danny story of the day: He once called and asked us to sponsor a 6'8" Spanish exchange student named Xavier at Pius who would play for them and then go to NU. Turned out to be a 6 ft. guard named Pablo when he got off the plane. His Dad, who coached a team in Spain, had substituted his son. He was a nice player but never started for Pius. When his Dad visited us in the spring, I took him to meet Danny at a practice and Danny called the son Pedro, which showed the level of his interest in his Pius career. Nevertheless, Pablo remains a friend to our family today, and we are all glad we had him for a year. Don't know what ever happened to Xavier. Incidentally, Pablo played with Patrick Nee at Pius.

Somehow, I managed to follow the Chiefs, volleyball, and basketball games at the same time with volumes and fast forwards managed judiciously without my head exploding. I feel tired now.

Any foul deemed "deliberate" during the last minute should be assessed a technical at the discretion of the referee if the point differential is 7 or more. It would end the long, boring parades to the foul line at the end of games and make tv time scheduling more predictable for the following game.

I'll just hope that this game is not one of those which we have come to expect when an opponent who has missed every 3 point shot he has taken this year suddenly hits five in a row.

I finally discovered the only way I can access "forums" is to click on the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner and use the pull-down menu to go to forum which doesn't give me the same info as the old way, i.e. who made the last post. Is this just a glitch with me, or does everyone else have this problem now?

I always worry about everything: 1. We won't make open shots. 2. They will make every open shot. 3. Score by first time out will have us behind 22-6. 4. Referees will suck worse than usual and have at least three of our critical players in foul trouble by halftime. 5. Our crowd will begin to stream out with 5 minutes to go. 6. I could go on and on - but I seem to have trouble navigating on HHC this morning and am afraid I may be having a small stroke, so I'll quit.
