Looking at the NIT schedule makes me glad that we weren't forced to go that route. Lots of unhappy teams playing with chip-on-shoulder attitudes (especially those huffy Big East elite types). Now I'm sorry I made the tongue in cheek prediction that we would be matched up with A&M. It sounds like they have two veteran guards who are twin Shannons and all of their big guys have vacuum cleaner arms to get all the rebounds. Yet somehow, I think this team will find a way to overcome. To all of you who are going to Memphis, drive carefully and be sure to say hi to the ghost of Elvis. Take along a copy of "Win it for..." to read between games.

I just checked with my good friend Lindy and his preseason prediction was that A&M would be 13th in the nation and would get to the sweet 16. (Please take note that the same periodical picked KU to be #1 and Michigan State to be #4).
